Curiosity regarding player preference.

Hello!

So i was browsing around for league related stuff when i came across the fact that Ashe has somehow become the Nr 1 ADC and is overall one of the strongest champs in the game as of currently.

And i saw some discussion stating that Riot is pretty biased to not have announced plans to nerf her while they have done so for Garen, so i decided i wanted to ask a question which i think might be related.

Do you find Ashe to be more or less of a pain to play against when she is OP, even as OP as she is now, compared to other champs when they are similarly strong?

Like say Garen, kha6, eve or perhaps other marksmen like Vayne/Twitch/trist or kai´sa.

Because truth be told i had no idea that she was OP until just a couple of minutes ago and that´s despite playing several games against her in recent time, and from what i know her banrates are really low even with her winrate and playrate being so high.

I am actually wondering if she isnt actually surprisingly alright to play against even when doing too well since when another champion has these numbers people tend to flood the boards with calls for nerfs while their banrate skyrockets.

Ngl I'm actually really surprised she's doing that well.

But...Yeah. I think that's the general sentiment. Ashe is only really annoying if you're heavily immobile, which is only a few champions. And even when she's strong she doesn't really feel strong.

4.8% global banrate. So I guess either people don't know she's strong, or don't really mind her being strong.

Ashe is actually quite broken right now and I'll explain why, while most champs require some kind of catch up mechanic and escape mechanic ashes catch up mechanic makes her impossible to escape short of actually using a escape mechanic away. She's one of the champions that if she engages you outright and you try to run she'll kill you while you're trying to walk backwards this is not an ok mechanic. It's entirely too long and too powerful for what it is. It would be ok if it were a second but she has it at like 5 seconds which is enough to wipe anyone out.

Most people don't feel the full force of something like an Ashe being strong. Her power is gated behind utilizing the autoattack reset on q (one of the few ranged auto resets in the game) and using her ridiculously easy orbwalking/animation cancelling during q and w casts. She is also one of the safer laners in the game while being very dangerous post 6.

As an ADC main, I'll say that I noticed her play rate increasing, and even that she "feels" stronger. But that said, she doesn't feel "unmanageable". Even now, when I lose to her I feel like I should have played better. I think the biggest problem with her right now (which is "manageable" as a defender) is that Volley gives her a lot of zone control and just makes the lane really oppressive since the majority of supports ALSO spam zone control abilities. Honestly, IMO if you got spam mages out of bot lane she'd probably see a lot less play because it'd be much easier to play around her kit. The main difficulty right now is because it's easier to setup a pincer with the support.
