New SR Objective, for top lane and counter jungle relevance.

I was thinking about how to make it so both top and bot sides of the map are relevant and I came up with this idea. Now, if you look at the map I have attached, it's a map of the current SR with two red circles between the two top lane turrets of both red and blue sides.

My idea is to add a bridge leading to a small enclosure with a monster of some kind there. This monster would be stronger than Brambleback or the Sentinel but weaker than Dragon. Killing this monster on your side of the map gives a buff to ALL of your teammates that gives flat health and mana regen, armor and mr, and ad and ap, (Numbers are subject to change but my current idea is that it would be 5 mana and health regen, 20 mr and 15 armor, and 10 ad and 20 ap).

This creature would, as I said, be more difficult to kill than a Brambleback, you won't be able to just take it after going through the rest of your jungle, it would take some dedicated time or help from whoever is in top lane in order to take this down but it gives very good gold and experience rewards for the one that kills it.

Now if you kill the version of this creature that is on the enemy side of the map, then its buff is doubled for your team (Does not stack with the buff from your side).

What this does is add a dynamic to objectives on the rift, since the changes to Baron and Dragon, both objectives are meant for late game, Baron is meant to break sieges and Dragon is meant to give you a large buff when you have five stacks. So by having this objective, it gives us something that helps in the early game but falls off later since all its buffs are flat amounts.

This also means that there is more of a reason to go to top lane. If a jungler ganks top and it lands a kill then both them and the top laner can go and take this buff to help out the whole team. Dedicated farmer junglers would be able to help out the team just by making sure they get this buff. And taking a risk and counterjungling the enemy and getting this buff would give a huge boon to your team.

Now as I said earlier, numbers and such are subject to change, but I'm wondering what everyone thinks about this idea.

Ok I like the idea OP but theres one problem I have with putting it where you did. Reason being it gives too much safety and a great possibility for people to possibly even ignore the top first tier altogether, get the mid inner 1st and or 2nd their and cut through the jungle. IT doesnt put as much emphasis on the Top lane as you would like with this change. However take this suggestion to your idea. What if we place the objective smack in the middle of the lane (where I put the blue circle) and instead of it being a neutral monster, it would be a shrine of some sort, kinda of like in Twisted Tree Line. What would this do to spice up interest in the top lane? It would put more emphasis on Top laners to be more than just passive lanes of secondary supports, moreso it would encourage Top laners and give incentive to teams and even junglers to invest into that lane more heavily.

Due to the fact that an objective exists in the top lane that gives the team a buff but also is only able to be secured through complete control through concentrated resources. This would add more diversity to the game because obviously such an objective would probably be more of an impact for the early game (moreso than first drag potentially even) and would really differentiate teams who choose to focus on getting their bot lane ahead to secure an early dragon with minimal benefits, or secure an early shrine for a much more potent early game. Thats just my take on it.

Hhm, I do like that idea. Perhaps my initial idea was too much of a "try to fix everything" idea with my intent to give incentive to counterjungling, but having it so that the buff is where you suggested makes it much more of a contested pick.

Perhaps it would be best if the entrance to this area was two entrances instead of one, with the entrances being located at the spaces between the left and mid bush and right and mid bush. The reason I suggest this is because if it was one entrance then I think it might be a bit too easy for a zone mage like Heimer (Especially Heimer) to just completely zone out the enemy while they take the objective.

The primary issue was how hard it was to push your advantage early-mid game. Often you'd get a crushing lead from lanes, take all Outer Turrets, 1-2 Dragons but not strong enough to take Inner Turrets. With Baron only spawning at 20:00 (up from 15:00), it could leave teams with absolutely nothing to do for a few minutes and it would let the opponent catch up.

5.5 saw Inner Turrets getting nerfed, so hopefully games won pre-20 will no longer take 35+ min to finish.

As a jungler, why would I not just take it by myself? Most jungle champs can already solo dragon around level 6-9, but don't because of how vulnerable they would be to the enemy if they walked by. In that location there is no need to worry about any enemy interference in the early game.

Because it takes a long time to take by yourself. This is time that the jungler is not using to gank or be close to anyone but the top laner to be able to help out someone in trouble or be near dragon if the enemy decides to go for it. And if the jungler is a tank jungler then it could take even longer. Getting the help of your top laner is supposed to help you save time. You're also more incentivized to help the top laner because if the enemy took top turret early then it leaves that spot more open to the enemy so they can get that double bonus advantage.
