Lets discuss about Pantheons new E

Hello Riot,

I am convinced that you do not read any feedback from the community. The whole community is frustrated from how annoying Yassuos W is. It's not OP or broken but is in a sense unfun to play against. The community complains about it all the time.

Now you come and add the same mechanic to pantheon but with steroids? Not onlu does it block projectiles but it also blocks autoattacks and deals damage at the same time? Do you see how unfun that will be to play against?

Panth's E is invulnerability, which in the context of League it blocks damage.

It's not like Yasuo that blocks all projectiles, it just blocks damage and things like CC can still get to Pantheon.

And Pantheon's E only blocks 1 direction.

Tho I'm still on fence about whether his E should have full invulnerability even in just 1 direction since it's also a basic ability that also deals damage, though. It's like the good ol' 'no counterplay in lane' Pantheon we are all too familiar with. Maybe a threshold on how much damage it blocks or partial invulnerability (ie the typical damage reduction) would be cool.

But I wouldn't say it's Yasuo's level of overbearing; especially since Yasuo's W wouldn't be that big of the deal if only every single component in his kit wasn't broken, unlike Pantheon where his E's shield is the only thing in question.

I think Pantheon's current kit is fine overall. Maybe some tweaks here and there but certainly not a big deal like Yasuo or Irelia etc I wouldn't say.

Yasuo's ww doesn't solo make him unbearable, its a combination of that WW + passive shield + crit itemization and double crit passive + having to dodge his Q spam + his E mobility + his R's armor negation + his R's passive shield reset + his R keeping him outside of tower range + him scaling incredibly hard even if he's 0-10 + having to worry about a yasuo split pushing all game or shitting on your team in teamfights + him not even being that bad early on for somebody that scales like a hyper carry.

Yasuo's WW if anything is the most counterable part of his kit, its the kit and playstyle built around it that makes WW frustrating since its another factor to consider when trying to punish him. If you gave a different champ WW I doubt anyone would care (see braum).

With pantheon, assuming its mostly the same numbers wise as old pantheon, he's still going to fall off, not gunna split push as much, and not going to have a massively amount of mobility so you can beat him after waiting out the shield easier. Worst case scenario they have to make his E only negate some of the incoming damage like braum rather than all of it later on.

Well first of all, I dont see people complaining ab yasuos windwall. And second, it's pretty easily to dodge it. You could go irelia agaisnt panth and just q him and get behind or just stun him.

Windwall is just a dot on a long long list of bullet points that makes yas irritating. Personally I find his E to be the biggest issue with that champion.

We don't know the fine workings of it yet so I'm gonna wait until that happens

Pantheon's E is completely different than Yasuo's W. It makes Pantheon invulnerable from that direction. It DOES NOT block projectiles.
