If Solo Queue is dead, then it shouldn't be called "Ranked" anymore

One of the issues with Dynamic Queue is that Riot thought it was okay to "change the meaning of ranked" (as they put it) without much warning, and with the false promise that Solo Queue would be back. For years, the ranked system carried with it the implication of an individual ranking you could compare with others. Art assets, season rewards, summoner profiles, etc... were all based on this idea, so they are all geared toward displaying things from that perspective. Now they all ring false because there is no individual rank anymore.

Ranked is Dead Dynamic Queue is not ranked. Ranked is dead. If we are forcing down this road, people should have "team rating" or something similar. It should be obvious to everyone that it is not an individual ranking; any person could very well have been carried to (or held back to) that rating by other members of their team(s). Any relation to individual skill is a vague approximation. The presentation needs to change to reflect this if Riot is seriously refusing to back down and find a different solution. Part of that probably means not calling it "ranked" anymore, because that's not what it is. There is no ranked "ladder" because now we're tracking "teamwork" or whatever (i.e. the sum total of your team performance across all of the "teams" you play on).

Rank Display For example, people shouldn't have ranked borders and icons and tiers/divisions displayed based on the old system, they imply an individual skill level. It's not accurate/honest at this point, and it drives people to seek out boosting and easy wins so that they can masquerade around with certain colored borders and think/pretend they are "good at this game." The new emblems are nearly useless...I wouldn't even call them a band-aid lol (that guy with the "team" emblem who gets plat 5 while that "solo" emblem player gets gold 1...the emblems aren't going to make that gold 1 player feel better)

Poor Strategy Riot, you did all of this completely out of order. There are almost zero resources for building teams. We can't use ranks to find people of similar skill, because ranks are no longer individual. There are no tools to support this mess, and you needed the tools first if it was ever going to work. Over time you'll continue to lose players who care about ranked integrity to other games with more sensible individual-ranking systems, which will hurt queue times and matchmaking even more. Maybe that is fine with you, but it's not a very good way to treat some of your most passionate and loyal customers/players/members/etc.

Let's make a competitive game by removing the competitive part of it :^)

How to make DQ competitive and fair: in client voice chat option with a mute mic option with it.

Problem solved.

Please stop these salt posts.

Everyone - welcome to the influx of children who will now support Dynamic Q. Don't argue with them. They can't comprehend logic.

My suggestion from a Former Diamond 3 player - Move onto Overwatch, the ranked system is amazing and is coming out this month.

Then you couldnt truly call Solo queue competitive by that definition because you could duo queue. I havent noticed a single change in ranked except that if i go with a group larger than 3 then the will have a group of 3 or 4. Maybe its because im silver 3 and not diamond but honestly how many 5 man teams do you see vs solos and duos. In the end it still comes down to how good are you at the game, can you win your lane, get fed, and carry the game weather its by yourself or with another fed team mate.
