I could've sworn riot said they fixed this. why is faker still able to perma root someone when his passive is up? it looks so broken =/

They didnt nerf the CD for the ability for perma root, They nerfed the duration of the passive overcharge to be scaled into the q which increases the overcharge duration by 1 second because before, you would max W and not Q for more root duration but when both are lvl 5, its pretty much the same Ryze we saw when Huni perma snared Maokai. They just make it not as oppressive as before.

If your wondering what overcharge is now, the duration is 2.5 seconds (from 6 seconds)+.5 x ryze's q rank so you still can perma root, no nerf to W, just a nerf to the passive duration.

so basically, he does the exact same thing as before, but just takes a lot longer to get there? what? riot dropped the ball on this one. thank you for the detailed info man. that explains a lot. this kind of perma root should not be allowed at any stage of the game.

maybe they can make it to where you can use the root on the same cooldown currently, but make it to where you cant use on the same champion again for a few seconds.
