I'd change the last idea into: Some kind of marketing strategy. I'd agree to give everyone the chance to try out every skin for free for a weekend or so. That would very likely increase the income by a few %.

Entitlement is part of it
the main joke is asking for things riot is never going to give us, riot isn't giving solo queue back. They aren't gonna fix dynamic queue because they obviously dont have the brain power to see that solo queue is the only optimal option.
Also asking for things riot would never do now, the last time riot made a huge mistake they gave everyone 1k rp. but riot has changed, they would never try to comfort the people they betrayed with this dynamic queue now a days.
