why does every person who uses mastery emote and all chat to insult people

end up being the most butt hurt when they get stomped to the point they are begging for reports.

I always flash my swag when I die. It's like saying hats off to my opponent I got bested, but in reality it means, "Fuck. I don't deserve this."

When I am Master Yi jungle I go to middle lane, Q a minion Wave and spam my level 7 mastery to show that I am the Alpha and just taxed his lane.

All chat is just a cheap tactic to make weak summoners stronger. Don't use it unless the game isn't being played too seriously.

Doctor Dyment1 votes

GAH! Is all chat the only trick you summoners know?

Matezoide4 votes

Literally the entire point of mastery is to increase your e-pen by BMing or when you die for laughs. I dont really mind using it to BM, but for some reason, it doesnt seem Riot predicted that.

TequilaZombie1 votes

Hey, they are the same people that create lots of Taunts for every champion. Of course they want us to BM.

...using it to BM, but for some reason, it doesnt seem Riot predicted that.

I agree. Perhaps they believed the players would be mature, I dunno. :/

Mastery BM was the greatest thing to happen to League in a while.

I never use my mastery unless another one uses it. I think when others use their mastery, it's a sign of brotherhood, like wanting to see how strong you are.

DrCyanide1 votes

Or it's a sign to your team that you realize how pathetic that Flash Fail was... either or.

JayHog19921 votes

Meh, everytime I see the mastery, I think it's just one of those "How tough are ya?" memes on the spot.

I flash My mastery 7 Emote almost every time my ult goes off as pool party taric. To get more abilities wasted into the ult

Why do all chat even exists

Shadow Hazard1 votes

I like to do it when I deny a good play/kill.

Solitair1 votes

I have all chat turned off 25/8. And I'm constantly this || fucking close to muting every person on my own team at the start of every game. It's better to concentrate without the other team or your own teammates trying to tilt you.

Because those people, at the end of the day, are people with bad sportsmanship. Win or lose in League, they lose the game of being a decent human being.

I have noticed a change in when the mastery emote is used, now compared to when it was first released. These days, as you say...well, they just try to be BM about it; an insult used when they kill you. Basically, they could just say "eat a d**k!". It would have the same function.

Personally, I use it as a warcry; a challenge to the opponent. I am mastery level 7 on Lulu, and I like showing off that fact on random occations when I see my opponent during the laning phase. Intended as a rather harmless taunt. "come at me, bro! let's see what you got!". But if the opponent then flashes the same level 7 mastery emote on Riven...I don't do that anymore. There are limits to how much embarrasment (i.e. dying) I can take. xD

The 3rd one, and the one I find the most amusing (especially when people particular champions use this), is when someone drops the emote _after _just having died. For example, "i am a level 6 vayne and don't you dare forget it!!!!" (with humerous intent - or that's how I look at it). They just died, but still got swag? That deserves respect (especially the Vaynes)!

On another note, it is dissappointing to see how the game has turned from seeing "gl hf" as the first thing posted in all-chat to "report [player]".

They almost never add why we should report said player - which is why all they get for that statement is a report themselves for harrassment (I will make up my own mind on who and why to report, thank you) - they just call a report on someone for whatever reason.

Calling reports is only immature and bad mannered, all proven in one, short sentence.

I only flash my Mastery if im dealing with a champion I personally find to be complete cancer to deal with, such as Lee or Riven or Gangplank.

i remember one time i faked being angry as hell. i was playing nasus top and this master yi and trundle level 4 tower dive me and i force both of them to blow flash to kill me. i follow up with a quick

COME ON YI PITCH THAT TENT

in all chat. my eve comes up and murders the flashless trundle before he can get his ult. master yi comes back flashing a mastery 7 emote ulting to me and they proceed to kill me under tower again. they are both forced to blow flash once more.

another quick OH YEAH CAMP ME HARDER DADDY in all chat

eve double kills his bot lane and takes a earth dragon. when i tp back to lane she comes up and murders the once more flashless trundle. then we walk into master yis jungle and she gives me his blue buff. master yi then comes top instantly to claim his blue buff back. but super fed eve with a full GLP insta bursts his ass.

trundle couldnt fight me because i was maxing w second so even with his kill lead because of good stacking and smart ability usage i could 1v1 him no problem

then they came up to tower dive me again. i simply wait for trundle to pop ult then i ult instantly after. i with trundle and start beating yi to death and kiting him i end up double killing them to which a

"nasus is so broke" from the yi in all chat

the power of all chat and mastery 7 emote spam is that you control how your enemy thinks . . . and by doing that you win games

Spoofghoul1 votes

i use it when i fail in a hilarious way

like flashing into a wall

ok . . .

flash mastery

I don't have a problem with people BM'ing.

But I do have a problem when people consider winning "uneven" matches as an achievement.

Doesn't have to be winning 4v5's while being on the team of 5 people, but celebrating victories against people who have no intention to win just baffles me.

I have my mastery emote bound to my scroll weel and use it pretty often. I use my mastery emote:

  • When I miss a cannon minion in lane.
  • When I just hit a powerspike and I kill an opponent because they didn't expect it
  • When I get a good Barrel combo/ land a 3-4 man Sion ult/Q
  • When I die.
  • When I survive a situation where I should've died.
  • When I run at people with Sion ult.
  • When someone else uses it.
  • When I'm dead but the teamfight is still going on.
  • When someone walks near my corpse
  • When I get a cross map assist/kill as Gangplank
  • When I kill a champion I hate.
  • When my GA pops and I'm getting revived with the enemy team surrounding me.
  • When I accidentally press my scrollweel thingy.

Hope you both work it out. :D And work it out fast! Clones sharing the bills is one thing, but sharing the wife...that's what usually gets them!

Just wanted to show this. Nasus main. g4, over 600k with nasus. Love when this happens. And quite frankly, happens quite often. Sorry for the poor quality,

I usually try to not use the mastery emote unless my opponent consistently spams theirs. However, my emote button is my spacebar so I always end up misclicking it, causing whoever i'm against to assume i'm bming when in actuality i just pressed it by accident.
