Ekko does too much damage for a utlity carry

Compare Orianna And Ekko. or Ekko and Ahri What you will find is that Ekko does too much damage and has so much utlity that he makes Orianna obsolete and excedes the OPness of Ahri. The only way to fix this and give ppl a reason to choose Orianna, Lux, or other mages, is to Nerf Ekko's damage.

Ekko's passive does way too much damage compared to Orianna's passive. It needs to be changed to 15 + (6× Ekko's level) (+40% of ability power)

Ekko's Q does much more damage and has a Slow on it making it rival or exceed Ahri's Q in damage and utlity. The damage on this move needs to be reduced.

For the utility in Chronobreak it needs to have it's damage reduced to 150/225/300 (+80% ap)

His W Has a passive on it that needs to be removed. A Utility Carry does not need to do about 7% hp damage and 250 damage from Timewinder on a basic attack to someone with 30% hp left.

At level 10 Lucian has 1174 hp , So if Ekko is at lvl 9 has 90ad, 150 ap, Lichbane, and is at 700 range Ekko will 100 - 0 Lucian with his Q+E+AA combo alone and there is nothing Lucian can do about it.

"Compare Orianna and Ekko"

I will. If Orianna catches more than 2 people with her Shockwave she wins the fight by herself. She can save allies in trouble with her E and W, and she can turn any champion with a simple gapcloser into a powerful teamfighting initiator, with bonus armor and MR on top of that.

Can Ekko match any of that? No, he can't. That's why he brings some more damage to the table. Orianna isn't that behind him when it comes to damage though, and late game she can become an AP hypercarry like Ryze and Cassiopeia.

So can Ekko, but his utility is a tad too unreliable to be called a "utility carry". He's more of an AP melee fighter like Diana, but with less reliability and more burst in "best case scenarios".

Oh my god, can you not?

Orianna is ridiculous and can carry far more reliably than Ekko, while still destroying squishies from a range.

Orianna deals 100% of you HP while Ekko deals 130% of your HP - doesn't matter, the target is still deal.

However, Orianna has the virtue of never actually having to be in the midst of a fight while offering team-utility vs Ekko's selfish utility.

(BTW, why gut Chronobreak to Command: Shockwave damage when Command: Shockwave still does retarded damage and is a teamfight winner?)

730 net damage before this Q returns to him in that situation. 980 damage after the Q returns to him. Ekko's W passive won't proc until Lucian is below 352 health, which can't be counted towards the scenario specified. This is also assuming that Lucian has 0mr and gets hit by everything. People, feel free to go after my numbers. I might've left out a 10% scaling somewhere.

Regardless, that won't 100-0 a Lucian. And, that scenario is based upon the fact that Ekko can get into that range without Lucian noticing, there are no allies near Lucian, who would stop your combo, and that Lucian is somehow unable to dash out of the second half of time winder. Or flash it. Or heal. But I digress.

Ekko passive is every 3 hits from melee range. Ori passive is every hit, stacking, from range.

Ekko Q has a noticable delay, very hard to land both halves of it, unless you're melee range, and the opponent has no mobility. Ahri can land the second half significantly easier, between the faster return time, and the movespeed she gets from her q.

Orianna has better utility then Ekko, stronger laning, with respectable damage. Lux has range. Ahri has better mobility. Wait. Why are we comparing an assassin to three mages?

Ahris Q gives her move speed and does true damage though so. Hes also a utility Assassin so that is why W has a passive execute.

I noticed that in the PBE changes to Ekko were made. Unfortunately the changes do not effect the base damages, which are the real part of the problem. Riot should nerf the base damage on Q and R then nerf the Passive. For Ekkos damage on R they should just copy the damage values from Ori's shockwave.

Completely forgetting that he's an Assassin and not a mage. His passive damage if fine. That's single target damage, which is appropriate for an assassin. It more likely that his AoE damage from his Q or Ult that take a hit, his more mageier aspects. (and Q nerfs on PBE)

Ekko is basically AP Riven. Comparing him to Orianna is pointless.

I actually laughed when I saw your 'math'.

Ekko's passive does way too much damage compared to Orianna's passive.

if yer wanting to compare passives ye should probably be doing that with diana.

Ekko's Q does much more damage and has a Slow on it making it rival or exceed Ahri's Q in damage and utlity. The damage on this move needs to be reduced.

pretty sure i checked the Wiki right, but Ahri is .35% AP out, .35% AP in aye? Ekko's .2 Out, and .6 In. he's much more reliant on the return than the send. Ahri also has True Damage on the Return Q.

For the utility in Chronobreak it needs to have it's damage reduced to 150/225/300 (+80% ap)

i dunno. can't say anything about it myself.

His W Has a passive on it that needs to be removed. A Utility Carry does not need to do about 7% hp damage and 250 damage from Timewinder on a basic attack to someone with 30% hp left.

the scaling might need to be dropped a bit. from what i recall at full build it's like 20% of a targets missing health. Fizz also has a similar passive of doing %MissingHealth + regular damage over 3 seconds.

ye can't really compare 2/3 of these champions though. Orianna is a mage, Ahri is a mage, and Fizz is an assassin.

Orianna vs. Ekko is a hilarious comparison.

First off, the only way an Ekko is going to 100-0 you is (a) if you're stupid enough to get hit by his W or (b) if you're stupid enough to linger around long enough to get hurt by his R. Either way you're an idiot and deserved the death. If Ekko misses his W and his R-copy is still way behind him, you can crap on him. Even if he gets off his passive, both Qs, and his E, you won't be dead unless you were missing some health or the Ekko is ridiculously fed. As I was saying, after Ekko uses all that and you aren't dead, he's like, "Oh, now what?" Now he's just standing there begging for you to be bad enough to not turn on him.

Orianna is super strong at all stages of the game and brings a ton of utility, CC, damage, etc. If she catches you in her ult late game you're fucked. If she hits her slow on you, you're fucked. If she gets even one gank, your lane is fucked.
