Am i alone in thinking that duskblade was such a letdown?

I was so excited when I heard ad assassin were getting a new item for them, but it just ended up feeling like such a dud. The build path, cost, flat stats, and unique passive timer made the item feel suboptimal. The general opinion I have been getting is that this item is almost never worth building compared to the other items an assassin could make use of. I mistook a blessing for a curse with this item since all it did was get most of the ad assassins nerfed even though the item hardly build by AD assassins if ever. If this item was to actually become viable, it would need a change to the cost, passive timer, flat stats, and probably make the execute damage into true damage IMO. Otherwise I would get rid of this item immediately if it meant reverting the AD assassin nerfs

Duskblade is fine, it gives great stats and the passive is pretty decent, It's one of my favorite build paths for Quinn since it was released

Not really a good item for Quinn

It's a great item for Quinn, she has high base damages and decent scaling so she benefits from the high AD of the item as well as the armor pen, the movemen't speed isn't bad either. I play Quinn as an anticarry rather than an ADC and the power spike you get from this item is fantastic, pretty much as soon as you finish it enemy carries are no longer allowed to farm side lanes alone.

Quinn has quite a few other build paths, this one is just one of the most fun...well...fun for me at least, not so much for the enemy ADC.

From your OP.GG page it looks like you play Quinn as an ADC, the ADC build is quite a bit different, adding duskblade to this doesn't really give a good representation of how good it is, you should give something like this a try

item 3147 item 3078 item 1306 item 3142 item 3072 item 3512

you move around the map at supersonic speeds and one combo will kill the enemy ADC before you even need the duskblade passive, plus the ZZ'rot as a defensive item not only has synergy with your ult because of the movespeed near towers, but it puts pressure on another lane, meaning that someone will need to go to that lane to clear the wave but the enemy team can't send a carry because you can assassinate them.

I'm not saying it doesn't have stats she doesn't like, it's just that as a ranged carry built around kitting, you will be auto attacking too many times for the item to be of use when you really need it. This is a guide r/QuinnMains put together that covers her builds and stuff (if you want it): http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/demacias-wings-r-quinnmains-universal-quinn-guide-450976

No you won't, her burst is almost assassins level, plus free AA to blind target for ~1s so it works on her pretty well.

These are definitely viable builds, but it's not the only option, and if you're versus a late game hyper carry then duskblade is a really attractive option, an enemy Kog'Maw would out damage the other builds, but he's not out damaging anything if you kill him before the beginning of every fight, which you do extremely quickly with this path.

Here, this is what I mean, this build turns you into an assassin that can still provide some decent sustained damage during team fights
