Lose match = lose LP. Win match = win LP. Your individual performance does not directly affect your LP gains/losses.

It does not apply at all. Its all about how many games you lose or win in a row but does not respect that you perform like top tier player

If performance is included that will separate good from bad players and good players will go up much faster

You performance should be included in end game result not just shiny Grade that does nothing for you.

ITS NOT EVEN INCLUDED ON YOUR MATCH HISTORY! =[

No, it shouldn't. If you played well and won, then congrats. If you played well and lost, then you didn't use your advantages and play well enough as a team.

The thing is, good players not only know how to play well on their champion of choice but also how to invest that advantage into other areas and win. Your rank does not reflect how proficient you are at a champion, that's Champion Mastery. Your rank reflects how well you are able to achieve victory with a team.

Because grading players by their performance is very hard. Riot has not gotten it right for supports yet and overwatch which are doing what you suggest are getting hate for it.

why is it getting hate? If you are performing bad its your own fault not your neighbor fault

There are a few "pro teams" for the game already. AFAIK Cloud 9 is one of the bigger ones. They played all their matches together frrom placement and everything. After they were done the support was 10 "ranks" lower than their highest player with all the others being 5 ranks or more higher than him. Was it because he was bad? Not really... in the top 100 players there are only 2 support players simply because a support does well when healing a lot, but a winning team does not need as much healing and therefore the support never does well in winning games.

It is not that simple in league... the support can still do well in winning games but they are still harder to grade due to vision, cc, sacrificing and so on being key elements for supports while it is hard to detect if a support died or died instead of the rest of his team. Or if a suport spams bad wards or places the few key wards that wins the game.

In the end grading by machines is a hard thing to program so basing elo by it is bad. Beside the only thing it can possibly do is speed up the elo gain or loss process. If you play enough games you are eventually going to end with high elo if you play well.

Side not: not using a grading system keeps players away from intentionally waiting for ks'ing instead of winning the game, makes people sacrifice others to keep their kda and so on. Basically it encourages playing selfishly instead of as a team in a team game.

If performance is included in the LP/ELO Win/lose system Bad Players will get dropped with lightning speed from high elo while S Rank Players will Climb up Rapidly Fast. Not to mention that Smurfing and Elo Boosting will be way harder because it will take more time to reach certain point because not only how many games you win in a row matters but also how well you play

Not including your performance is telling you that your skill does not matter which IMO can be insults for players that invest time in their champions. Not to mention that there are many players who literally use the tactic Feed to Win - 0 / 10 / X or so and wins games rapidly. They don't even have much assists either

Players that score Excellent Performance do not deserve harsh punishment at all

And "Support" is not well supported in the league so thats another topic and is not good role IMO but thats my personal opinion. In other games supports does way way more than supports in the League and feel like major thread.
