I feel like tanks should be extreme nuisances, never incredible 1 vs 1 threats.

I feel like a tank should mostly be there to be a meat shield and to bring lots of cc. I feel like now most tanks are ridiculously powerful, able to 1 vs 3 at times. When I play Jax and I finish BOTR and Triforce on him, I'm still usually losing a 1 vs 1 against a Maokai, that just sounds so wrong to me (over 100 games on Jax with a 65 percent win rate in ranked, so I know how to play him). I think they should lose their mega 1 vs 1 potential by lowering their base damage on spells, but allowing them to split push for TP plays by giving them bonus damage to minions to help waveclear.

Maokai is kinda op at the moment so I'm not really sure about using him as an example.

The bonus to minions could work, but a tank without kill pressure is like an early game Nasus: basically a free lane for your opponent.

bork becomes cost effective without champion synergies once the opponent has 3000 hp or more assuming maokai had 2 items as well he probably didn't have 3000 hp

Additionally, a lot of jax's damage is magic base and tanks are strong earlygme and fall off hard as hell lategame. Actual tanks that is.

I'm not all that surprised that you could get 1v1'd by maokai like that. Also if you're going to fight maokai after two items
