20 things that, as a support main, make me have a hemorrhage
Before I start this, know I am Bronze 3 and have been a support main since Braum's release, so this may not come as a "pro" opinion, but definitely one based in experience. Let's start the countdown!
-
When an ADC pings target on an enemy and expects you to understand what they want in that instant. Are you wanting me to harass them? Focus them down? CC? Poke? Or just watch them? Bonus cringe if they do it when you aren't in lane/dead.
-
Simple ADC's with complex supports. This only applies if you picked before your ADC. I feel like when you play a complex support (
) you have to have a similarly complex ADC. Or when you are the most complex on the team and you have TOO much control like
or
and they expect you to be super pro. Like bruh... save me. -
ADC bot lane. Not because I necessarily think they are ALWAYS bad, but I've yet to see one properly communicate a plan or a want. They have no goal other than "Get kills, get glory" (not speaking for everyone who plays these, just the most that I've experienced. -
Poor CS. I understand being behind or maybe losing a few from a death/DC/alien abduction, but being anything over 30 behind until team fights start happening is unacceptable in ranked, in my opinion. If you can't CS, go practice, you are losing gold because I can't hate it without being the problem.
-
Stemming off 17, ADC's who claim the supp is why their CS is low (most often seen with immature jerkwads who don't know what
does. -
Junglers who NEED assistance pings to notice a struggling lane. I do jungle. I was a damn good Zyra jg before the rework. I know it's not that hard to press Tab, click that minimap or ASK. If you NEED a ping to go do something, you better do it fast and do it perfect.
-
Mid laners who traipse into bot lane for free kills, extra frustration when WE are the winning lane. [zombie-brand-mindblown]
-
Anyone who doesn't understand a support kit, and complains about it.
has brought me a lot of the "You are never in lane." complaints. No, I'm not in lane all the time, more so than regular supports, and while I don't apologize for that, I pinged for you to be careful, pinged where I was going and said in chat "Brb" and "collecting"/"helping mid/jg/top" -
Misplacing wards JUUUUUUST outside of the bush. Makes me want to kill myself.
-
1v1ing anyone and having my kill stolen. As a support, I rarely get to feel like what I do really matters or feel like I contribute to a game in a big way. So let's say I stroll through the jungle, warding my blue buff and I successfully 1v1 an Udyr as Bard, do not 90 cali. Net and give him your peacemaker. Do not Curtain Call just to snag a free kill. DO NOT FLASH-HEAL FOR THE SPEED TO AUTO HIM ONCE. I worked for that, not you, give me my gold.
-
Feeling bad when I do better than the rest of my team. Usually it's because I play overly safe and being told I am only doing okay because I'm too scared to help. Like... I'm sorry?
-
supports. Just... take your win and leave me to my shame. -
The overwhelming urge to try to make plays as Soraka. Someone stop me, take away the keyboard. I'm sorry.
-
. -
When the JG is in a party with someone else and we never see a gank.
-
"What's your build" Typically when I Bard (he's my main, can you guess xD) I get the following
,
/
,
,
/
,
and
-
The "..." when I make a mistake, take a siege minion, or a kill whether by accident or necessity. Stuff happens, I'm sorry?
-
Being 1-3 levels and 1000 gold behind my ADC.
-
Having my number of kills translated to my performance. 9 times of 10, I'll start getting kills JUST to prove a point.
-
"you're a support, who cares." I care. YOU should care. If you are so sure you are fine without my help, you must not need it. Another perk of playing Bard. I can leave, lose ONLY gold and help other lanes. I'll come back to you when you've got a better attitude. Thanks babe.
first item.....
support as long as they don't pick Morgana. It's like free win, specially in bronze.
passive.
