what do you do against a good late game caitlyn?

I had a caitlyn do 84k damage last match 44 minute game (honestly i cant name the last time I've seen anyone do 84 k damage). even as a fed graves. up close. I go to q and auto and she bursted me so fucking fast. I never had an ad carry 1v1 me as graves up close. because graves autos really hurt up close and hes a lot tankier. but man. this caitlyn. I mean i never seen anything like this. it was like. a jinx after killing 5 people and 2 turrets. we couldnt stop her. I mean let me repeat. she did 84k damage.i do not remember at all the last time anyone did 84k damage in a match i witnessed. 2-3 people focused her and she lifestealed and killed us faster than we could. even in a 4v5 she got an instant triple kill i kid you not.

I mean malzahar ults her. she has 30% health and I die before I can even land my second auto. stuff of legends.

literally our whole team was fed and even volibear was melting to her. and he was pretty god damn fed.

never been rekt this hard by a single champion in a game.

Cait's passive is honestly overbuffed, especially with the MASSIVE synergy they added with W and E.

Nerfing the base damage on that and Q late game would be nice.

Edit: I meant Q early on, that was incorrect on my part.

u got downvoted because Q on late game cait is a huge waste of your damage, by the time it goes off u have missed 9 autos with how many crits and headshots, late game cait is not a good adc, late game trist or vayne or anybody else is better LATE game.

I had adcs one shot me as zed before I can even land my anything. and fed too. late game an adc auto does as much damage as zeds ultimate basically.

am getting away from assassins. countless games i fed and became useless late game. rengar. zed talon u name it. the only one late game is kassadin. and that I can def one shot an adc with but hes usually a bad pick cuz of terrible early game

A fed Caitlyn outbursted an equally fed Graves . A fed Caitlyn got focused by 3 people and didn't die.

i used to think this as well and i still do but the reason you feel like this is purly because adcs just scale that hard. and caitlyn can simly start attacking you sooner due to the range however if you put the same 6 items on any auto attack based adc like kennen ashe ect you see they melt you even faster because they scale. with these new crit items making it extremely easy to get 80% crit adcs have just an incredibly strong late game. however i mostly feel this when im on a tank like sejanie when im on yi they all feel weak because no matter how late the game gets and the adc gets strong so is yi since hes a late game hyperscaling adc. however his high risk but thats the trade off. you swap all the range for all the damage

man i just never seen such a performance by any ad carry. I've seen some even more fed and get more kills. but nothing ridiculous like this.

anyway. you said it. range. ashe i believe has little less range than caitlyn. she does less damage. cuz of utility. but man I'd rather take a vayne silverbot than a caitlyn headshot. especially since that she can proc two in a row with her net and the passive.

you end the game when you can instead of dicking around :l comn man you guys were almost 10k ahead at one point with caityn at 4/5, but you guys refused to get towers. Comebacks like that don't happen very easily unless you let them.

You get obliterated usually. If you don't have someone that can dive and burst her easily then you'll probably lose. Most auto attack ADCs can do this when they are at 6 items. Looking at your team you guys had no real way to get her. Malz is too slow and immobile and Volibear gets easy to kite lategame. You woulda needed something like talon to just delete her or someone who can land long range CC. Cait is pretty damn strong late, but I think Vayne, Kog, and Twitch are even stronger.
