The Most Coveted Lane/Position on Ranked Games?
I will be joining ranked matches soon. My purpose is that so I can practice on a role that is less coveted on ranked games.
Which one is most coveted lane/position/role?

Mid
Mid is easily the most contested postition
Mid -> top -> jungle -> adc -> support
through over 1000 games i can confirm mid>adc>jungle>top>support
The very best way I have found to get better at first is to learn the game. Start with supporting, then move to the top > jungle > mid and last adc.
Taking tankier champs in the beginning and as you become more comfortable play more damaging, although squishier ones. This will give you a better over all feel for the game, in the "less coveted" position, that will reduce negative impact on the team, if you do poorly.
