I don't know how Taliyah works.

Build her full AP?

She has so little range and such weak scalings, you can't get in range without being blown up and even if you get in range, you aren't guaranteed to blow up the opponent.

Build her AP bruiser/tank?

She has decent base damage but her base defensive stats are abysmal. No matter how tanky you build, you won't be truly 'tanky'. I even tried building her tank on an ARAM and it didn't work because of her base stats.

Seems to me the only solution is to play her AD or AD bruiser/tank. She's ranged, good walking mobility, average autoattack animation and significant self peel.

She's kinda UP atm IMO. I build her like this though. item 3020 item 3027 item 3116 item 3285 item 3135 item 3040

You can replace seraph with deathcap, but I like it for the survival.

She's not a super blow up champion. Her kit doesn't allow her to be. She's no Syndra or Leblanc or any champ where you just go ham and cheese no break to try and burst them down. She's like Anivia where you kinda play her safe. Q where you can, and kite with w and e as you need to. She's more of a brawly type mage (to me) so I would buy a ROA and rylais to get her decently healthy. She'll be able to kite and stay safe just fine if played properly. Unless you get dogpiled 1v5 then good luck.

Poke mage. Kind of what Cass was supposed to be. Stand at the edge of a fight throwing out abilities. Even with low AP, she does a surprising amount of damage if you land your abilities. Rylais/Liandries/ROA. Surpisngly good at zoning with her ulti.

ADC Taliyah isn't as good as I'd hoped. Not consistent enough peel at close range, combined with a low AA range. She has a pretty cool crit animation thou. Off-tank is interesting to try. IBG+Bork? IBG+Something. IBG is just too good.

Try this build: Kiting Queen Taliyah item 3116 item 3165 item 3001 item 3157 item 3151 and item 3020 . 45% CDR means your Q is up every 2.2 seconds, and E only has a 0.4 second downtime. It is a bit low on AP though, but item 2139 and blue buff help with that.

does blue buff still give ap? i thought was removed.

It doesn't give flat AP anymore, but instead 15% of your AP, basically a mini deathcap. It makes it more valuable late game, one of the goals Riot wanted with the mid season update

I personally find rushing item 3027 in most cases has a very weak early but VERY strong late game, and seeing as Taliyah is a late game champ, after 15 min her winrate climbs pretty well. primarily I build item 3027 item 3116 item 3009 or item 3111 core (primarily I play her top) With lots of tanks, item 3151 Lots of burstitem 3157 item 3001 very good item 3152 item 3030 I have not tested but lots of champs seem to love pyrobelt

Imo you want the 45% CDR, this way you can have your Q on a 2.2 second CD and Q has a ridiculous 120% AP scaling. If you can constantly poke and kite with this spell, you will definitely deal damage.

To do this, you will need a item 3116 , that's the only real core item on her.

I play her in two ways a) item 3116 item 3285 item 3020 item 3165 item 3089 item 3135 - with an early item 3802 for mana sustain. b) item 3027 item 3020 item 3116 item 3157 item 3001 - with a item 3151 , item 3135 or item 3089 as last item

First option will make her Q poke insanely strong and gives her a lot of kiting but leaves you on the squishy side. Second option is the tanky build, obviously.

Seriously, the Q can deal so much damage, it's crazy. 1000+ dmg every 2s with permaslow.

//Edit: Take Thunderlord's ofc
