He was a much more interesting and versatile champion before. Now he's just a W bot and barely even functions mid. He just seems so much more binary.

Yeah, I felt like my favorite champion got deleted after the rework. I used to play him AP mid. I don't get the point of the rework at all. No one was asking for it and he wasn't even dominant in any lane when he got it. There was a point where he was permabanned in competitive last season but after they nerfed him, he wasn't an issue at all for any level.

When champions get reworks, they usually become more interesting with fun gameplay elements like Corki's package. They gain depth and options for mastery. For Kog it was basically the opposite and his mid poke style is essentially dead. Now, you basically have to land E-Q for R to be useful so he's more like a squishy Kassadin without mobility tools. He's a cleanup/burst champion instead of the hypercarry he used to be. It's really disappointing to me. I don't find pressing W and spitting fast fun. I find well-aimed/predicted ults. way more fun.

Sorry but there has not ever been another sniper in this game like it where you can pan multiple screens firing high dps missiles. We lost something good. Xerath and Varus are NOTHING like ap Kog.
