What's wrong with Jarvan and Kha'Zix?

We've heard to death why Lee is unhealthy for the jungle. I don't think even Riot entirely disputes it. Why then do I hear so much with the other two, with Jarvan firmly in 2nd place for most toxic jungler?

I'm not really concerned about J4 to be honest. While he can be unhealthy, Riot showed no favorititism or bias toward him, and if he continuous to be a dominant pick in both competitive and casual, he will be nerfed. However, given the current state of the jungle, I'd rather be careful with nerfs: rather than J4 being unhealthy, I think the jungle is too unfair toward other junglers, and J4 , together with Lee , is one of the few able to clear without the risk of being counterjungled when at low health, given his defense and cc. Also, like Rammus in the past, he can work well as a tank while having a decent base damage.

Riot nerfed J4 when he was too strong in the past, they will nerf him if he is too strong now, but Lee Sin? Riot is adamant in not nerfing him, and he has been popular for quite a long time.

Because the jg monster buffs have affected some junglers much more than others.

Notice anything about all the strong junglers this season? JarvanIV Vi XinZhao

They all have Armor shred and some even have percent health damage.

The armor buffs to the jg creeps is negated by the armor shred, and the increase to monster HP has increased the amount of damage that champs with consistent %Health do.

And about LeeSin : The reason he is such a strong counterjungler right now is because his resonating strike scales off of missing HP; players are at much lower health after clearing a camp now than in season 4, which is an indirect buff to resonating strike for counterjungling purposes.

Also, since monsters in general tend to have more health, resonating strikes was also buffed in regard to clearing his own jungle. Agreed on the %armor, PLUS those junglers also scale well with Brutalizer.

Did you not read my entire post? He has an easier time dealing with the jg buffs than most junglers, which was an indirect buff to him. He also synergizes very well with both the Devourer and Warrior enhancements. His early ganks are pretty good, and if he gets fed, well you have probably had experience with fighting a fed XinZhao so I won't even need to go there.

why you don't hear many complaints is that while j4 and kha'zix are both strong and well rounded champions like lee sin, thats not where the frustration comes from. lee sins problem comes from his flexibility on TOP of his insane mobility, while jarvan and kha'zix both have gapclosers, they're tied to there damage combos, making them either offensive or defensive, theres commitment involved in using jarvans QE and theres commitment to kha'zix E (unless you feel like blowing a ultimate CD to get out) theres not really any commitment to using lee sins Q in comparison, as he has his W on a relatively short CD to get out anyways, theres not as much risk in the "high risk high reward early game jungler" as there should be.

this is just what i think tho.

jarvan has strengths, but i wouldnt call him unhealthy by any means, jungle hits him hard so he tends to rather gank, if you play safe first 9 minutes hes crap, same with lee sin or shaco, unlike tank junglers like sejuani, malphite, amumu, they dont rely on gank income to get them rolling.

j4 because the new jungle items buff AD casters + j4 is really easy to play, gets free stats, easy ganks from lvl 2, etc.
