despite being a predicable champion. its very hard to punish her for being so safe. yet its so easy for her to do her job. misses her charm. which is undodable with rylais and if you have no mobility. regardless if you get anywhere close to her you ear her E or W or ult. meanwhile she outsustains and outpokes you in lane. shes too safe. lux 2.0. i remember when lux was this safe and her shield was enough to defend against any retaliation if she got dived because shes next to the damn turret at all times. ahri ult cd isn't high. and her build zhonya into morrelos. thats 30% cd right there. if she gets ganked she simply ults away. and killing squishies and carries with her seems to be simpler than doing so with rengar or other melee assassins. she doesn't seem to have any clear weaknesses. i don't understand it. she has no hard counters in lane and pretty much everyone has a hard time against her.

i don't remember. ever stomping an ahri. or an ahri that was completely useless. even ones that i seem to out cs go bot lane or top and wreck both bruisers and tanks and squishies alike. i dont like her at all and i dont like her to be on the enemy team laning against her or not. unfortunately i dont get to ban all the time. and shes the most popular mid lane pick right now.

He absolutely counters her. If she runs in your face, you hit her with your full combo and either kill her or watch her use her ult to run with her tails between her legs like a bitch.

You can push her under tower so easy and force her to use her mana to farm so she can't do dick to you.

There is a lot more to countering a champion other than "i beat you in lane". If Malz was such a hard counter to her through the game, his win-rate wouldnt be just above 50%

Malz is never going to get a kill on a semi competent Ahri anyway.

Also YASUO. Any half-decent yasuo is a fucking nightmare for ahri.

I played into that lane before as the ahri and it was awful. All he did the entire time was push me under tower and then put his windwall between my minions and my tower so I couldn't farm at all. It's also hard to hit him with poke with how mobile he is.

Lissandra, Malz, Fizz, Syndra, Anivia all does pretty well against her. Leb, Viktor, Lux, Cass doesnt do terrible into her either, if they are good. But yeah I agree, shes a bit strong atm. Prob need a small nerf somewhere.

Edit: I forgot, Galio does pretty well into her.

It is because she is broken in solo-que and the actual numbers support this.

An Ahri that misses her Charm is an Ahri that fucked up and will probably die unless they're already low. Any skill shot based champion would do better with accessible slows, it's part of the reason why FQC was OP mid lane for a while.

Regardless, if you get anywhere close to her you eat her E or W or ult.

You got into a champions threat range while her cooldowns were up and got punished for it? Imagine that.

Ahri's ult cd isn't high.

110/95/80 is above average.

and she builds Zhonya's into Morellos and that's 30% CDR right there.

This isn't unique to Ahri.

If she gets ganked she simply ults away, and killing squishies and carries with her seems to be simpler than doing so with Rengar or other melee Assassins.

If she ults away, she loses a lot of kill pressure on her laner and you can probably just come back and get her Flash or just kill her. Good thing she isn't a melee or an Assassin, so I don't see an apt comparison here. She's a burst Mage.

She doesn't seem to have any clear weaknesses. I don't understand it. She has no hard counters in lane and pretty much everyone has a hard time against her.

Her clear weaknesses are; Squishy, extremely vulnerable without her ult, she's skillshot reliant, and her ult dashes have a small delay between them. You can CC her immediately after she dashes. If you dodge her E, she loses a lot of damage and probably can't 100-0 you unless she's fed and you have 30 MR.

Anyone who can stick to her easily, outburst her, or lock her down gives her a hard time, like LeBlanc, Diana, Yasuo, Lissandra, or Annie. Morgana mid is also annoying to lane against since she has little kill pressure on her and can't roam well.

Wreck Bruisers, Tanks, and squishies alike.

wot. Ahri struggles incredibly hard against Tanks, and only succeeds against Bruisers if she kites well. It is incredibly hard to play against 4 moderately tanky champs because she can't kill anyone but the ADC.

inb4 "Biased Ahri main". Yea, I one trick her. I think she's in a good spot, even if a little strong, but she's only a little strong because other top mid laners got nerfed. She's been only above average for a while, but when you nerf the top, the above average comes next, and honestly she doesn't really thrive in this meta at all. She's always been popular too.
