Morde on the PBE.

So i've been testing a few builds out for the last idk. 20ish minutes on practice tool.

With the following items.

item 3135 item 3020 item 3165 item 3089 item 3116 item 3151

Morde deals 7.188k worth of damage to the dummy. Which has 100 Armor and 100 MR. Meaning that if morde clicks R on the ADC. Ever. She is going to die. Unless you have a support that offers 3k worth of shielding to her. At the minimum. Since item 3165 now applies GW on hit.

She'll have to heal up about 2k + get about a 3k shield + not take ANY additional damage.

If morde SOMEHOW gets three Q auto attacks off, and then clicks R. Its 10k Damage.

I already like this patch. ADC's in 2018 LUL

Other builds exchanging item 3165

item 3001 = 6.8k Untest for Three Auto Attacks.

Spellbinder = 6.7k damage Full Charge.

Alright ADC mains, Mid mains, Top Mains, Jungle Mains, and Support Mains. You know what to do! We need to nerf this monster Mordekaiser into the ground before he hits live.

i facepalmed so hard while reading this thread

morde ult deals %hp damage, that's why he deals 7k damage with ult to dummies his ult deals 35%+4% per 100 ap damage, liandry deals with rylai 20% max hp if you have 500 ap that's 75% max hp OVER 10 SECONDS

adcs have a shitty hp pool, they will heal every tick of morde ult with lifesteal and they have supports healing/shielding

additionally, that's a full build which cost a ton of gold, while adcs spike with 2 and 3 items lol

Not saying you're right or wrong, but you say that like Morde doesn't spike unless he has six items...

he doesn't?

Mordekaiser's win rate starts at 60% and constantly decreases until 40%

he doesn't have any powerspike in the game, except at lvl 3 where he skills Q/W/E you want to teach me my main? alright go ahead lol

Even early game champs have spikes. Pantheon, Draven, Zed, and so on can spike in power, even if they're very early spikes and don't generally change their win rate curve.

That said, you really gotta work on your ego. It's hard to even drop a passing comment without you trying to pop off at the most random things.

i don't know about pantheon draven or zed

but mordekaiser DOES NOT SPIKE in any way buying items on morde doesn'tchange a single thing

his damage is consistent throughout the entire game, he buys more items? the relation between his damage/your growing base defense does not change, but actually gets weaker throughout the entire time

to a point where the more MR you get the less effective he is because he shields/heals himself based on the damage he deals on all of his abilities

so yea, excuse my ego, i can't stand people not knowing morde talking about morde

His only spike comes from item 3146 which for whatever reason has been taken off of his recommended build path. Morde was healthier before his QWE ever got changed in the first place.

Gunblade is a rare buy on Morde. Although he technically benefits from all of the stats his AD actually isn't too amazing considering the difficulties getting in a lot of the time by the point when he can buy it, but it also doesn't give him as good of sustain as you might think because all of his normal abilities are considered AoE including his Q.

I think the main spikes you might see are item 3020 , item 3136 , item 3151 , item 3135. Many of these are keeping you up with the defensive scaling of other roles. item 3116 also gives a bigger utility spike. Honestly his item spikes are way under the curve of most characters.

His Q still is cuz Riot simply hates him and never changed his code from the original Q, which was aoe. They simply just don't like him and that's why he'll never be fixed.

No that's not the reason. After the Juggernaut rework they made his Q AoE for spell effects because it used to do way more damage and his sustain would have been unbeatable if it had been coded in as single target. But they eventually nerfed it to a reasonable amount of damage but left it as "AoE".

Overall I'm 200% unhappy with how Riot has treated and handled Morde. He was one of my mains back since season2 and now I barely even touch him.

While I don't agree that Morde doesn't have spikes, obviously. I think it is important to realize that his spiking isn't as noteworthy as many other champs.

Considering Theorex's post has an embarrassingly flawed premise, I can understand Rubick's response to it.

Did I say otherwise?

Like, look at either of my posts and highlight where I said otherwise.

item 3147 item 3812 item 3031 item 3071 and item 3142 would like to have a word with you.

Morde does have spikes, but his spikes are WAY less noticable than most champs, and a lot of his items are pretty underwhelming and screwy. Rylais > liandries is probably his biggest spike, but both of those items are in poor states right now. (which is why they're changing both of them next patch) Ludens could be argued as a powerspike as well, but it's bugged on morde (go figure), and not as impactful as it was in season 7 IMO.

I think what rubick is saying isn't that he doesn't have item powerspikes, it's that the item powerspikes don't change much. Have duskblade on zed? You do a shit ton of damage and disable wards so assassinating is 10x easier. Have IE or DD on draven? Your damage is now ridiculous. Have BC or ghostblade or duskblade on panth? You now do a fuck ton more damage. On morde, your powerspikes are significantly less impactful, as the majority of mordekaiser's power comes from dragon, and the enemy's lack of understanding of mordekaiser if they run into you like an idiot. Sure the rylais slow and liandries burn is really good on morde and helps you chase people down and take objectives, but it isn't nearly as impactful as a triforce, duskblade, black cleaver, infinity edge, steraks, any tank item, etc.

...I don't see how that refutes the point. Early game bullies have power spikes off of earlier built items, like the ones you mentioned above.

So Morde is said to win more earlier. I just said that he can still have power spikes without having a win rate increase. Idk what this response is for.

I think what rubick is saying isn't that he doesn't have item powerspikes, it's that the item powerspikes don't change much.

He literally just said, verbatim, that Morde does not gain any general effectiveness over the course of the game. It was blatantly false, but you learn to leave it alone eventually. Idk how I got downvoted on my end, but what-the-fuck-ever.

ADCs don't have 10k hp.

And they don't sit in front of Mordekaiser tanking his full rotation. And they have lifesteal.
