How do you deal with your team feeding in the first 5 minutes?

This seems to be the #1 cause of losing games. Before I get rolling and can start to influence the game by ganking other lanes, my team is already feeding the other lanes and making it less likely I'll be able to do so.

I don't know what to do about it other than just accept it as a roll of the dice and assume that, even if I play my best, I can't expect to win more than 55%-60% of my games. It is discouraging to lose when you feel like there was literally nothing you could have done better or different.

Is this less of a problem at higher elo because you have more people who understand how to play defensively and at least don't feed so regularly early game?

There are stupid and/or egotistical players at every level of play. There is nothing you can really do about that and you just have to learn to deal with them, unfortunately.

Generally, you should just focus on stalling the game out and becoming strong enough yourself to try and recover the game. Champions with strong disengage and waveclear are exceptionally useful for this (i.e. Ziggs, Anivia, Varus, Sivir) and can be fairly reliable due to this.

It's a problem no matter what rank you are. Diamond players will still go 0/5 before 10 minutes.

You'll get these nearly-unwinnable games sometimes, and it sucks. It's about moving past these ones, trying to analyze how you might have contributed to the loss, and making sure to be a positive presence in games that are winnable. A 55-60% win ratio is actually quite good and is more than enough to climb.

I don't think there's anything you can do except try to roam later

Focus on objectives. If you have a late game comp, stall.

Force them to throw; anything works but failed dives, failed baron/elder drag attempts, and separating the frontlines and backlines heavily are the most common causes of throwing.

If anything, don't type in chat on how people are feeding; they know and talking about it won't magically make them play better (newsflash the opposite happens). Just keep calm and find opportunities whenever possible, and that sometimes games can't be won and you'll have to deal with it and move on.

You can't win them all, man. If your team is dying a lot in all lanes then you lose, and the enemy team as a whole is better than your team as a whole. It's a cruel reality. At the same time if you are truly better than the people you are facing then you will climb. Game by game it has to do with luck and matchmaking, but over a long period of time, if you are superior, then your LP will reflect that. That's what I believe anyways.
