Winning Streak = Losing Streak

Anyone notice that doing well in games and winning eventually gets you with terrible players? I don't mean people who die first blood because they ignored a mia ping. I mean people who die or their jungler dies to their laner, and they decide the game is unwinnable and they int. I'd really like to know why this happens. It's like you have to carry people who don't even want to TRY in a game and do everything in their power to lose the game.

You are stomping games --> Your MMR increases ---> you play against better players Not really about having worse teammates, they might be similar to the games prior, but your opponents will be better

So me, being the only person to do well in lane, is the one who isn't able to keep up with the better players? You don't even play ranked and yet somehow you think you understand how the system works.

Normal games have an MMR system as well, so yes I do know about the system Also, maybe sometimes you just get teammates who don't play well Maybe they went on a winning streak as well, and got boosted to an MMR they were not ready for There really is so many possibilities to why you are getting bad teammates after a winning streak

Matchmaking is only based on mmr (and not for example your recent streaks), so the other post is correct.

In any given game in theory everyone is supposed to be evenly matched so it's basically 50:50 how other lanes go (barring influence of your own roaming), so if you happen to get a lucky streak of ally lanes winning, you're more likely to notice when the 50:50 isn't in your favour, but it's still ultimately essentially 50:50 and not matchmaking plotting against you due to a prior winstreak.

The more you win = the higher MMR. You can build MMR just by winning more. I went on a 13 game win streak when I decided to try for Diamond and started getting 23-25 LP.

That's true but I don't see why you posted it.

When you're at a higher mmr, you'll be matched both with and against people at that higher mmr, so other lanes remain roughly 50:50, and it's only the amount of influence you're able to have that diminishes as you get closer to your 'true' mmr.

Have you seen all the posts where people have said that teams have been very uneven when they win a lot of games in a row? I've been that player on the awful team and I've seen players who don't deserve the teams they get. The difference in players is so obvious.

Yes, that's a side effect of psychology, and not matchmaking itself changing.

Have you seen the post confirming matchmaking only cares about current mmr?

I mean players are welcome to insist there's a conspiracy against them after going on win streaks, but statistics say these things will happen normally, and riot says they don't take streaks into account when matchmaking (which is corroborated by the lack of significant changes in queue times as people go on streaks), but often times the people complaining they can't climb due to anti-streak mechanics are actually people leveling out at their 'true' mmrs (or are actually still >50% winrate and are salty they can't win them all despite that being unreasonable).

Not saying there is a conspiracy just saying that once you win so many games (no matter who you are) you get worse players. But I guess that we all can't get an easy ride with our main roles.
