Why did we remove so many resistances players once had?

The greatest thing of glyphs, old runes, was despite their price they allowed you to sustain but not to the point you couldn't be poked down.

Burst was reduced and early snowball.

Really should look into giving back resistances.

Not only did they remove resistances, but at the same time they did those +5/10 damage buffs to every single ability in the game, to compensate for the removal of AD/AP runes. Then they turned around and added AD/AP to runes anyway, and didn’t revert the +5/10 damage buffs they gave everyone.

This is why damage is through the roof.

Only AD bruiser got +5/10 damage buffs to every single ability.

Not really. Graves for example got damage buffs for his abilities, but Garen didn't.

The important factor was scaling. Every ability scaling with bonus AD got damage buffs, because giving champions base AD after the removal of runes didn't compensate them (runes counted as bonus AD, the base AD buffs don't).

Every skill scaling with total AD didn't get buffs, since they were already compensated by the base AD buffs.

We are in July, everyone with an average brain noticed that damage and stuff were wrong back in NOVEMBER. So, 7 months later, what did we get? Even LESS resistances, even MORE damage.

They didn't listen, they don't listen, and their game is... Well, we all see :D

Also 55 armor and 850 hp through items has been removed. Not sure on mr

There is more MR than before because of (cancer) adaptativ helm which counter Anti-tank mage.

Aaand they buffed void staff, death cap and sorc boots. And liandries. Have you ever played someone with SV, adaptive helmet AND merc treads? And died to a mage in like two spells? Magic damage has been overblown for over a year now even longer. Because riot kept shoving off MR from everything while simultaneously buffing them. Tanks and supports in general are overpowered and instead of nerfing them they buffed APs and now nerfed supports a bit (also buffed assassins) and here we are. Damage is even higher than before. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT. So much about reddit jerking off to "buff op to fight op!".

The mage bias will continue.

Only issue mages have is that assassins are too viable. AP champs can use every item designed for them despite their class unlike AD champs. It just feels biased to them because AD champs usually lack the kit diversity to utilize all the AD items despite there being as much AP as AD champs.

You go adaptive helm and any true damage (read: conqueror) abuser will melt you because you've got absolutely no health to counter that.

I don't think Adaptive is a super duper great item, it's good at what you buy it for, the stats on it only = 87%ish of the gold cost, with tanks items right now, the passive effects are what you consider and more than make up (in most cases) that 15ish %.

Frozen heart for example has a massive positive gold value something like 117% without the passive. Still people consider it a bad item, it's in a wierd spot, just very very niche in its usage. Its passive though is nuts and multiplies with cold steel, it's pretty broken in very specific circumstances. And it comes down to, how much do you value 400 Mana.

They removed runes but they did stat adjustments the whole preseason, so I don't really know what you 're talking about. Most champions got their health, health growth or armor stats increased.

I remember anticipating runes reforged because I didn't know what to expect. It came out and my KDA on Yasuo dropped to the point where I stopped playing him altogether. Now I'm at a point where I have to play early game damage champs like Quinn and LeeSin. Or I play champs that have counterplay built into their kit like Fiora w. I miss the way league used to be.
