I think the most annoying thing about Vel'koz isnt the poke but the fact the minute you get into a all-in he just ults in your face and usually stops you from killing his ADC.

Most of the time thats how velkoz lanes go for me. Deal with poke, catch enemy ADC, get Velkoz ulted/whatever, have to give up on the fight or die.

He's really strong if you're good at landing skillshots, and I think he's also a good counter to Morgana in bot lane due to his ability to easily pop the black shield while out-putting good amounts of true damage in a skirmish

You gotta be careful of positioning tho, one Blitzcrank pull or thresh hook can end your life

I don't play bot lane, but can't you interrupt his ult with hard cc from the support? Is the problem because you need that cc for the adc and exhaust isn't up?

i seem to see alot of leona's do good against vel support due to the fact he has no mobility and not very much peel and is squishy so she can just jump on him and destroy him

Xerath is where it's at currently, but it's looking like they are nerfing his peel quite a bit :(

I really don't want Vel played mid, he has a lot of potential that is unnoticed. Veigar got picked in proffessional play ( in korea or china I believe) and he got axed immediately
