sated devoure on shyvanna

what does it exactly do? I mean on jax. the magic empowered AA is on every second hit. so is Yis second strike. but what does it do for shyvanna. does it make her get 4 fury on every second hit?. or is there something else?

also which champs unusually benefit from it. i just tried it on diana. was pretty god but I wouldn't recommend it depending on the match up.

Her E does %max health magic damage on hit, her W does flat magic damage on hit, and her Q CD is reduced by .5 seconds every time you apply on hits. Literally all 3 of her basic skills incorporate on hit effects and even her ult can be recharged faster or extended longer because every time you apply on hits, it gives more rage.

sorry if am dumb. but I don't get it. her Q has a passive which makes her basics reduce its cooldowns by 0.5 seconds. and her increases the more you attack. and her E marks enemies for one basic attack. so how does it excatly work. does her E proc twice on hit? because they are only marked for a single basic attack?

E doesn't mark enemies for one basic attack.

The mark stays on until it's duration ends. While the mark remains, Shyvana will deal additional damage on-hit to that target.

Her E marks them for 5 seconds friend. Every time you apply on hits to them during that 5 seconds will do an extra 2.5% max health magic damage.

Twin bite cooldown.

well shyv is actually a hybrid champ. i wouldn't build any AP on her but i run hybrid pen marks so the 30 magic damage on hit is pretty good.

Reduces Twin Bite's cooldown, extends Burnout's duration more quickly, I think the Phantom Hit procs Flame Breath's mark, and generates Fury more quickly (which can keep her ult up longer).

so it will proc the time reducing mechanic twice on basic attacks? or are you saying that because of the attack speed.?

Her W and E procs.

W reapplies its damage on hit, and E gives % health shred if the target is marked.

Q counts as two autos, W has an on hit component and the E debuff is an on hit effect. With sated, an AA>Q>AA applies on hits 6 times for 465+15% max health magic damage.

  • Reduces the cooldown of Twin Bite faster (allowing for more auto-resets and on-hit applications)
  • Applies the on-hit effects from W and E more frequently.
  • Fury builds faster
  • W duration extends more quickly

The above are all advantages of building attack speed on Shyvana which are then further amplified by Sated Devourer's Phantom Hit.

In addition, Shyvana greatly benefits from building attack speed due to the nature of her kit and the item helps speed up her clear-speed and the rate at which she kills objectives.

If you combine Devourer with Fervor of Battle on Shyvana, you can easily go without another damage item (until maybe a BoRK or Titanic Hydra as your 5th or 6th item) without falling off in damage.

Typically, champions with innate on-hit effects and/or synergy with attack speed and/or on-X-hit effects benefit from the item. Examples include:

Shyvana Warwick MasterYi XinZhao Aatrox Kindred

lets ignore AS for a second here. am asking about the sated passive.

Sated Devourer's passive applies to all of those since they apply on-hit. Attack Speed and Sated Devourer's Phantom Hit both result in them being applied more frequently with similar effects.

The Phantom Hit is essentially an additional basic attack with 0 damage that applies on-hit effects. If it is an on-hit effect, then both attack speed and the Phantom Hit amplify it similarly.

Give her wiki page a thorough read and pay careful attention to her abilities and how they interact with basic attacks/on-hit effects. That should answer your question.

In addition to what others have said in regards to her W and E being on hit in nature item 3153 is core on damage focused Shyvana builds and it synergizes probably the best of any item with Devourer.
