at least in lane ... early he hits realy hard which is quite fair given how hard it is to hit his q ... that power comes from his magic resist thou ... he simply has loads of free ap early

but i need to notice that late game he starts too feel simply weak or should i say stripped of options

they only way to do his job is to flash ... he has nothing else as his damage falls off ... even if you would itemise for his damage output you would get crippled by mana costs

i remember that someone in the past proposed making his ult a jump ... i think thats this and a minor number ballance would do him just fine

still im going to play this guy ... his new effects look sick (thou i think he could use to be more shiny himself ... polished stone and gold ... those things just need to shine)

I play a lot of Galio. If he is the only engage on your team, you typically have to have Flash up to initiate, but late game he is more effective as an anti-dive tank that makes the enemy team think twice before engaging on your carries. I think Galio would be worse off with a dash in his kit; there are plenty of tanks to play with more reliable engages, and I think the anti-dive nature of his ult makes him unique.

It'd be wonderful if they lowered his mana costs a bit and tweaked his E. Other than that he's in a fine spot. I'm comfortable enough with him that I'll pick him even against an AD heavy comp, and I'll build him more damage heavy if there is already a tank on my team. Otherwise, it's Athene's into straight tank. You deal subpar damage, but the defense steroid on your W (+90 Armor and Magic Resist shield on your front line tank or your squishy ADC?) and the teamwide taunt on your ult never falls off late game. I haven't had much success with him as a top laner, but I really enjoy taking him bot lane as a support, in addition to mid.

Galio feels kinda half tank, half mage. He has some poke, though that doesn't scale super well with items. That poke really wouldn't synergize with engage. But a mid line counter engage tank seems like a good fit for him. Also consider that he's a little niche given his synergy with MR. Making him a little anti mage.

Personally, I Kinda want to experiment with him as a support. He seems to have good base damage, And their a fair amount of MR in Support itemization. Such as Mikale's Crucible and Loctet.

Believe it or not. He was picked up in the LCS. (can't remember which team though.) And he was actually an important factor in the teams victory. He seems to have a different kind of engage. Using his wind gust to speed up his entire team. Their are two kinds of engage. Individual engage from the likes of a Sej, or Gragas, who dive bomb the enemy team and lock them up. and Team wide engage from a sivir ult, a Karma Ult-E, or anyone who has a Righteous Glory or a Talisman.

A lot of people don't play Galio because of the assumption that he is only effective against double AP comps, because of his passive. I've always treated his passive as a bonus to his kit, not a condition to fill. If I'm against a double AP comp, yay me, because bonus AP from all the MR I'll be building. If not, I build Athene's, then some armor.

Full damage Galio is rather terrifying, especially since they just buffed the damage on his ult (max damage of 720, scales up to 108% of your ap if you taunt for the full duration). You poke with your Q's and ult only after your tank has initiated. Glass cannon Galio doesn't really work if you're the only tank on your team, or if there are several enemies that can interrupt your ult.

For support, I prioritize Face of the Mountain, Mikael's Crucible, Sightstone, and Boots of Mobility as my core items (I always aim for 40% CD, too). I don't get Talisman or Righteous Glory because I tend to hang back by my ADC rather than initiating team fights. I max Q first, then W, because Bulwark is so beautiful when you're laning with someone. My job is to wittle down the enemy with my Q's (since the base damage is rather high, 300 at max rank), then flash ult for the kill. The enemy duo and their jungler/roaming mid laner will be hesitant to dive you under your tower because of your ult. You can stay in lane a long time from the sustain from Relic Shield + tanking minions while Bulwark is up.

My favorite ADC's are probably Ashe and Kalista, because of their CC. Sivir and Varus would also make landing Galio's ult easier, though I don't lane with them often. Laning against a Kalista and a Lucian makes it hard to land your poke, and Braum and Janna can knock you out of your ult. Even though you dont' deal damage as Support, the slow from your Q and the speedup from your E can allow you to peel for your team or chase someone down.
