It's me or Skarner and Garen only got nerfed instead of being reworked?

Really, I can't find something stronger then before. You see Darius and he's better, Mordekaiser is not that bad but he needs the ability to playing solo lane.

Garen scales significantly better into lategame than on live; His early game is still pretty okay as well.

Villainy is a pretty strong mechanic if it actually ends up on the person you want it on (or rather anyone worth killing immediately).

Can't speak for Skarner since I know next to nothing about his kit.

Garen got a slight power readjustment, moving some early game power to the late game. His E appears to do less damage, but at higher levels not only does it have a higher AD ratio, but it ticks more often than before. W provides flat resistances, so Garen can go heavier into health or damage too. Pretty much every nerf has an accompanying buff besides the R passive, which is a straight up buff in my eyes.

I can't speak for Skarner, however.

Probably build path will change, but putting an higher scaling on a tank seems pretty stupid. The power shift is a cool idea, but garen needs to build more damage. Hope the new items will help him

He's not a tank though, at most he's a bruiser, which is just a tanky fighter. These changes were built around the new items of course, so it won't be too much of a problem.

Skarner has a much easier stun now; instead of needing to hit 3 abilities, you just need to hit e.

The crystal zones look bad, though, since they are in fixed locations. I guess it depends how often you can force a fight near one...

Steraks Gage is gonna be pretty important on skarner, so it might shift him to be stronger than before.

Garen spin can do up to 400 + 500%AD to an isolated target come late game. This stacks black cleaver in 1.5 seconds.

Garen got his early game nerfed in exchange for a power curve that belongs on an ADC and a situational assassination tool. If you walk into a bush with New Garen in it, you are way past dead.

Darius got his early game nerfed in exchange for being a teamfighting god.

Skarner got his early game nerfed in exchange for a better ultimate, better pre-6 ganking, and better post-6 ganking, while also becoming completely manaless while jungling, and getting an increase in DPS while taking objectives.
