"Show What You Know" -(not mandatory for players to do) promote questionnaires and game teaching mechanics once you hit level 30. You go over common strategies and objective taking, when to dive, core concepts like general warding areas, what is cs? basic things really to people to learn. completion of the questionnaire adds MMR to your account. the more questions you get right the more MMR is added. and of course, the right answers would be provided afterwards. im not saying anything huge, but allow people to answer these to see some increase in their number. it would promote a better understanding of the game and allow people to learn without having to hit rock bottom before asking themselves "why am i constantly losing". multiple and more in-depth questionnaires could be added to teach more advanced game mechanics.

(before you read this next one note that players above the MMR average within their division will not be reset/penalized, and players will not be matched with players above their new current MMR, it would only give players a second chance at this MMR before dropping them further and furthering their MMR loss per loss)

Monthly MMR Resets - regardless of what your current standing is players who are on losing streaks can find it daunting to climb up without first counteracting all the MMR they lost while on tilt, or one bad night, whatever. players shouldn't be punished by having to play an equal number of games again for the chance to rise again. the reset would be just to match the average of the division they are currently in, normalizing their LP gains/losses in either direction so that they have the opportunity to climb again instead of streaking themselves to the bottom because it seems they just cant dig themselves out of the hole they made.

now some might say "well this would prevent people from playing the game" because its monthly people would lose a bunch their first week and then do nothing the rest of the month. this is true, however players still have the chance to play, win and rank up, and with the first option i suggested they have the opportunity to adapt and play better should they choose to learn before they continue to lose again, increasing the chance of winning as opposed to doing nothing for the rest of the month.

5 things would result if these things were implemented.

the first being higher rankings would be largely unaffected, as they are more static in where they are situated. mostly because they play with more or less the same players every time. the second being most players would see an artificial increase in their rank. the third being anyone who seriously wants to better themselves now has the opportunity to do so. the fourth being people would rage less because of a system that keeps them in particular down. the fifth being an overall increase in quality of games, a larger portion would be played at the gold level due to additional knowledge of the game.

would it really be so bad if the majority of players were in gold as opposed to s5 and bronze region? rankings would still exist as they are now only the deviation of players wouldn't be mathematically limiting based on total wins and losses of all games played, but a more accurate representation thats skill based and knowledge based.

overall i just want to promote a learning environment to the people of league and promote a healthier ranking system.
