What if Spellvamp only leeched from the highest damage dealt to ONE of the multiple targets

E.g.

Xerath Q on 6 minions.

Melee minons take 500 damage each, and casters take 550(guessing)

The spellvamp would only heal for a % of the damage dealt to one of the caster minions.

lets say he has 15% spellvamp, that Q on to those minions would heal him for approximately 83 hp. 20% vamp would be 110hp.

Thoughts?(dont even mention he who shall not be named, just pretend he doesnt exist for this thread.)

Honestly, It should be 50% for dots and 25% for AoE. That'd give you 150% the normal amount on a cast over a full wave of minions. It'd be about 100%~ normal amount on say, Malz aids.

I don't think that there is enough spellvamp in the game anymore to do big changes to it.

Alright.

Then we mages have to lose RoA, the new Hextech items, Rylai's, and Liandries, and Zhonya's and Abyssal need to not be as strong defensives.

AD has lifesteal. AP has tankiness.

So AD doesn't have tankiness? item 3156 item 3053 item 3139 item 3046 item 3812

Mercurial really isn't tankiness. It's only CC cleanse.

It gives almost as much Magic Resist as item 3026 though, while having an amazing passive, lifesteal, and AD

Maw, Mercurial, Phantom Dancer, and Death's Dance are AD items that help with survivability. Of them, only 2 offer any actual defensive stats, as Phantom Dancer only works when you attack the other person (and then only effects them). And out of them all, 3 of them offer a form of lifesteal.

Sterek's is an item designed for bruisers, and the AD only works in specific instances (in most cases, an AP bruiserc oudl use the item as well)

Compared to AP: item 3027 item 3152 item 3030 item 3116 item 3151 item 3001 item 3157 (technically item 3174 ), and then a pseudo-defensive in item 3003

Let's be real though most mages don't build item 3027 item 3152 item 3030 item 3151

Only frequent ones are item 3116 item 3001 item 3157
