So I climbed 2/almost 3 divisions in the week before 6.24. Will this make any difference to where I'm placed this upcoming season?

(In years past Riot has said that it makes a difference but I am genuinely curious to see if I was wasting my time on Solo Queue before the reset...)

Yes albeit not a big impact you might get placed a division or two higher up than if you hadn't climbed.
