League of Legends ≠ Summoner's Rift

Look, I am certainly not a dominion player. I've only won 8 dominion games of over 2 years of League of Legends. (I don't play it much at all) But what you're doing is another example of failure to do what the community wants. Dominion was not hurting anyone, I didn't get pissed off whenever I saw the option for dominion. So why in the hell are we getting rid of it? People play dominion. Sure it's not played by like 98% of people but there are people who love it and play the game solely for that. It's like deleting Yorick because he's a giant mess balance wise.

I'm not going to lie, Dominion being gone won't effect me at all. I'm still going to play League and my main Katarina every single day until I get sick of this game or it just ends up dead. But there is absolutely NO reason to delete Dominion because I assure you there are people that love this mode somewhere. It needs Fixing and it doesn't need to be deleted. Dominion is like another one of your hundred balance mess ups this game has. Hell every game has balance mess ups. But this is unnecessary and I would like to personally apologize to every person who loves dominion because this is messed up.

Like I said I will not be effected if you either keep or delete this mode but for the people who love this mode, and play this game for it, there is no reason to put them through this. Just please leave the mode the way it is now and update it when you get time.

Thank you!

If the community really cared, they would have been supporting the mode by playing it. But in reality nobody plays it. I'd love to know Dominion stats on all the accounts posting here crying about Dominion. I bet the majority have rarely played it, and are just jumping on the chance to criticize Riot.

But their reasoning is sound. Turning it into a game mode that's actually worth playing would take a LOT of effort. And frankly, there's no telling if that effort would be worthwhile. There's a good chance their efforts might increase long-term Dominion players slightly, but probably not enough to merit the work put in.

And unfortunately, even leaving the map in for custom games would still take a decent amount of time and effort to maintain. Champions and skins wouldn't have to handle capture animations. Bugs would certainly still be introduced that are specific to that map. These would eat up dev and test time with fixing the bugs and testing them to make sure they're fixed. And there's no need for even having sanity checks for changes on that map now to try to catch bugs before launch.

Actually, if Riot supported the map people probably would play it more. There is no ranked queue, no champion mastery, they have basically driven people away from playing it. I wouldn't be surprised if TT is gone soon as well.

I use to play dominion a lot back when queue times were lower. Now it just takes so long to find a game but I've always found it fun. Personally I've played dominion a lot more than TT but really only play SR now.

Dominion is an inferior product.
