I don't know if this has been pointed out before but I figured this out awhile back and thought i would post :)
Edit: Changed her ult to being able to be cast 3 times, my mistake!!

Actually, it's just as simple as her ult fires 3 orbs 3 times. You didn't need to over complicate it.

Yeah the designs aim was for her to be able to get 9 stacks by hitting every ability on a single campion. Found it out a few years ago, thought it was common knowledge.Kudos to you regardless.

Because her ult can hit up to 9 times (each dash can hit up to 3 targets)
