The cycle of promoting into silver 1, and demoting back to S2 over and over again.

I don't understand what gives. Why in the hell are people so willing to give up in silver 1?

To be upfront, this isn't my first time leveling past silver in ranked. I've made it to gold playing just teemo on a whim.

But for some reason, on this account I keep promoting into silver 1. Losing 4-5 games in a row, and immediately demoting back into silver 2. Then I win streak with very, very little effort. Then the cycle repeats and I lose 4-5 games in a row due to AFKs, people giving up by 10 minutes, and being queued with people on their way down.

Am I seriously the only one to have experienced with very narrow band of MMR insanity? I've been higher, and i've been lower with no-where near the same problems. Why is it that games are so inconsistent, and people are so nihilistic in this one bracket?

Does anyone have any recommendations?
