And what's even better is that i know who got banned. The guy in question was a genuine asswipe and hasn't played on that account for 22 days and counting. And i know because i just looked him up, this post reminded me to visit his grave.

i get these 5-10 times a day when leveling new accounts, nothing like patrolling the smurf tier of low level to get the recently permabanned players another permaban,
doing my duty to keep trash off the servers.

I had an enemy riven who walked down different lanes feeding constantly. She claimed Riot didn't care and she wouldn't be punished. Reported her.
Post game she offered to add me "so you can see that nothing is going to happen to me." 5 minutes later, got the "player has been punished" popup. Messaged her, "So. About how nothing is going to happen to you..."
She got a chat restriction -.-

Well it is completely automated, X amounts of reports = X ban.
My friend once got banned for literally no reason at all. We were playing a game (Q'd up as 5) and the enemy team decided to report him for "hacking" since he was like 20/0/destroying them. We come on next day to find him banned for 3 days for toxicity lol.
I honestly don't mind trash talking or whatever.
But when you're playing bad and trash talking. REPORT! REPORT! REPORT!

I once got a four man premade penalized, i got in i called mid, and they tried to say their friend did, except I was the first person in the room, and he was last, they all threatened to report me for not giving up the lane, they said I would get banned because of the number of ppl reporting me, two games later I get this thing popping up 4 times lol

No Riot. Some people genuinely just want to be mean spirited. Like quite a lot of the pro players youve marketed and contracted to behave.
I mean considering the fact that they think the reporting system does nothing means that they probably never got punished before. And the first few punishments are always chat restrictions unless on really extreme cases.
So most likely, the guy that got punished gives 0 fucks.

I don't think I've seen that screen in 6 months even though I my team reports people at least every third game.
The fact that your reports carry less weight the more you report is probably the dumbest thing in league. If you catch someone abusing the report system, you perma ban them, problem solved.
