Rework Tryndamere already !

Nothing about this champs is fun to deal with. You can be 0/10 and still win the game as splitting the game without any interaction. You want to kill him? Nope immune to death for 5 second. Oh wait he have max furry? 2 AA you die because it require zero brain cells to do that right ? And you want to buy defense to counter him? Riot added conqueror just to make us suffer from True damage cancer, Thanks Riot ! This champion should be the next reworked, not Nunu. Zero interaction champion with basically no counterplay other than Afk in base or 5 man him because Hey i do 35% crit level 1 and i get 100% with 2 item ! Oh wait it also deal 32% true damage with Infinity edge and conqueror !

I would love to see his rework cuz he is cancer but as we can see now with reworks champions become even more cancer to play against

Tryndamere serves as a the best solo queue carry in the game, he only works because people don't know how to play against him. Instead of complaining that he is too overpowered perhaps you should learn a bit more about the macro game and how lane management and split-pushing works.

Also, I looked at your match history and you lost to a Tryndamere literally right before making this post. Instead of blindly raging about it, you should learn what you should do against him. There are dozens of things you can do against this champion, just because you don't know them, doesn't mean there's "0 counterplay".

PokladnicaZla2 votes

˝People don't know how to play against him˝ -> Stay afk under turret early and gangbang him late game cause most champions cant 1vs1 him. Soo much enjoyable counterplay

Axzarious1 votes

As somebody who plays liberal amounts of Tryndamere, I feel obligated to mention that RNJesus can and will occasionally fuck you, regardless of how much rage you have when you just don't crit for 7 or 8 attacks in a row. Other times, you'll crit for the equivalent amount of attacks and just faceroll.

It's something I can see people getting complacent about, especially if they end up destroying a Tryndamere who just doesn't have luck on his side. He's a champion that wins hard and loses hard. There are also people who don't realize that Nasus is an amazing counter to him when properly played and built.

so why people dont pick tryndamere in LCS and win with 0/10 ? because people will buy randuins + thornmail and shit on the champ, tho i dont know about game like a LCS player

Azadethe4 votes

Because in organized play, teams collapse on him and shut him down over and over, during gaps between waves/turret pushes. They do it as a team.

You can almost never expect that in Solo/Duo, because the pressure the other team's other champions put on ensure that Solo/Duo Queue will split their focus. And even when they do, they don't set up lanes to where choosing to go after Tryn doesn't mean losing an entire lane.

Also, in LCS, every player is a good cser, and combat interactions are minimal. Which results in an environment where Tryndamere doesn't actually have a massive lead. If he dies, the other team has 50 seconds to do serious damage taking advantage of his death. He can't just abuse death timers and revive 10-12 times without expecting to lose the game.

In Solo/Duo Queue, the circumstances are never perfect to stop Tryndamere.

if u send 2 player on split pusher u already lost game, in a true organized play, u think trynamere will watch u coming as 2 or more ? this even happens more in solo q that players try to go as 3-4 on split pusher, but higher in rank u go more u find this will cost u all towers and u just waste time, so in super high level like LCS u see even nobody goes toward split pusher and they push 1vs1. reason is not people collapse on trynd, the reason is this that fiora or aatrox do the job better . in pro play all the way of jungle is warded by sup for split pusher

Azadethe1 votes

Aatrox and Fiora don't Split push better than Tryn lmfao. And if you push instead of stopping Tryn, you're facing 4 people blocking your route. Sometimes the goal of collapsing on Tryn isn't to kill him. It's Just to prevent him from doing turret damage.

Jungle may be warded and Tryn might get out.... but if that's the case, he's moving long before they get there, which means they also turn around prematurely.

3-4 go rejoin the mid/wherever fight, and one or two stay just to make sure Tryn doesn't go back to the split push.

Laning against a competent Yasuo or Riven, Gnar, Fiora, Darius, Renekton, Pantheon, Vladimir, Kennen - I'm mentioning lane bullies - is way more anti-fun. Trynda may crit, but the only other damage source in his kit is his E and you can't compare his damage to a full combo of someone like Yasuo or Riven/Darius/Rene who can kill you just abilities, no need to right click to death. Trynda may have good base HP, but this doesn't stop him from being CC chained during ultimate. Nasus and Tahm have free win against him and tanks beat him until he gets bork + penetration items. His lategame is also weaker than someone like Yi or Fiora, Adcs etc.

I suggest playing some games as Trynda to learn the champ. He is not free win - you can't splitpush, if your other lanes are losing and the enemy is sieging. You will get ganked and die, or lose inhibs/game. The games where Trynda splits for free - the game is even (I haven't seen this since season 5) or the game is already lost.

A maximum furry Tryndamere is a truly scary one. Expect some really weird shit.

d4rkshock2 votes

I don't think he's op. Just annoying. I know how to beat him. You have to beat him early and don't give him a chance to push. AlsoJax Pantheon Irelia Teemo are good picks because they fuck with his aa's. He's not horrible to play against just kind of annoying. If you want something Hing unfun to play againstYasuo Pantheon Fizz Renekton MasterYi Darius are the worst offenders.yi especy because it's not fun to have a fed Yi on your team while you guys got 0 kills and yi has all of them and on the other team, it's balck and white sim because he is 1v5 no 1v9 getting pentakills.

I dont think those 4 champs are rly good picks if the enemy tryndamere has a brain and knows what he is doing as he'll easily out scale those champs with ease.

You do realize that irellia And Jax are late game champions that suck early but have some of the best scaling for top lanners. Pantheon definitely but I didn't not know about teemo. Trynd is also bad early. If they push and you get lvl e, he can get a kill easily but now t against these champions. Jax will e trynd. That's what pantheon wants you to do. He wants you to engage so be can oneshot you. Teemo is ranged and will blind you. Irellia not so much but lvl 6, she can dissarm tryndamere.

ChezBoi1 votes

Tryndamere pre conqueror would have a tough time against these champs specially jax but now that you can get 32% true damage it becomes very easy for any tryndamere to 1v1 these champs all game as long as the tryndamere is eqaul and not behind and has a brain.

Tryndamere is overpowered? I stopped playing him because he's pathetic right now. His RNG "please god let me crit" playstyle is super unreliable and he lacks impactful cc and multi target damage. I tend to really only play him in matchups vs Riven otherwise I can't be bothered.

He has a lot of problems and I've been waiting on a rework forever. He's either useless and split pushing 25/8 or he's fed and still useless split pushing 25/8. It's his barebones kit. He offers nothing of use other than split push.

I don't quite agree with all that you're saying here, but I do agree that he just split pushes to win. To be fair though, there's a ton of top lane champions who are legit designed to do that, for it is a strategy, and I also agree the 35% crit chance level 1 is what we call an "RNG" champion, meaning if he gets lucky, he'll get a first blood. Riot states that they hate RNG champions, but created Zoe and Crit as a stat which doesnt make a lick of sense to me.

However, he's easily counterable. If you're legit letting him push up without punishing him for it, that's on you. If you see him top side pushing down your teir 2 tower, either get a drag, baron, or get someone to counter push bot lane. There is no such thing as "basically no counterplay", you're just upset because you lost a game vs him.

All in all, he's a binary, RNG mess throughout the entire game. I agree he needs a rework, but in all honesty, people are making this 2 seconds off his E seem like he's going to become God all of a sudden.

As Teemo, after Tryndamere has 2 or 3 items you're basically screwed, he'll spin on you and you die. You can hold lane for 10-15 minutes as Teemo, maybe kill him once or twice but you're losing that matchup in the long run.

Usual with anybody against Tryndamere though. Even if you win you can never leave top, or Tryndamere will destroy inhib turret. You can't even leave for a minute... You are in prison laning against Tryndamere.

That why top lane is lame lane , no matter what they did it will stay in that shit spot cause you need to keep dealing with mindless champions that got no skills and good at split pushing cause you need to stay top just to stop them and if you are team weak good luck winning any game. Nasus, Tryn, Jax, Udyr even, etc if you don't stay top for them they will take over the lane pretty easy by themself even if you put them behind like 0-6, which lead to 4v4 and that something you don't have control over leading to one fact your team either lose you game or win you game cause you can't move to them to make difference.

Every dueling style champ can splitpush, it´s just because the objectives(baron/dragons) work that way. ALso there is straight counterplay especially to tryn, teamfights. Tryn is nearly useless in any proper teamfight unless he is really ahead.

The problem is, that this is not a champion problem but rather a map"problem" if the map were smaller this wouldn´t work but as it is medium sized, splitpush does work and every champ with decent escape, very good 1v1 potential and a good pushing power can do that ez.

Kench is good since he can deny trynd ult by 2,5 second but it require good skill anyway to do it properly and not to early. Pantheon, good lane bully but get hard outscaled. Quinn is good to disengage but that's why mocking shout exist. You deny her movement speed since she get slowed since she will 100% run away from you and you deny her AD and basically crit her to death. Annoying but again Trynd outscale.. And any other ranged matchup fall in the RNG Crit luck based. If trynd lucky crit, you die, if not, he simply disengage and wait for your cooldown to kill you in 2-3 AA.

BEK Makadur1 votes

Tahm wins always unless tryn gets really far ahead and is rly good(and i say that as a tryn/tahm main who lost with tahm against tryn. also tahm outrotates tryn and is more usefull in teamfights. As games tend to be very short now, tryn is way weaker than he was before. If the game is finished by 25 mins, it is hard for him to outskale. Also quinn for example can shut down tryn early very hard, obv he outscales her but her roaming potential is 100times higher than tryns. Also if your team is behind and can´t def 4v5 a splitting tryn will do shit most of the times.

Tryndamere I think exemplifies everything that is wrong with crit. His power early on is extremely unreliable early on, but not because of how he interacts with his lane opponent: rather, at any given time, he may randomly deal double damage, which is enough on its own to win trades, even snowball into an early kill. The fact that this random power then feeds into his mobility, via the CDR on his E, means his gameplay is both feast-or-famine and RNG-dependent, which is an absolutely horrid combination. Beyond the laning phase, his problems change but remain just as bad, as he is fundamentally incapable of doing well in teamfights, but has the perfect kit for splitpushing with little effort or interaction. While his theme is worth preserving, i.e. that of a barbarian with a massive sword who can will himself to not die, his gameplay has very little of the same, and I think he could benefit from a near-complete overhaul, ideally one that would remove his crit dependence and unhealthy splitpushing.

Axzarious1 votes

I too look forward to the Tryndamere rework. Judging by Irelia and all the other champions RIOT has reworked, Tryndamere's kit will likely remain the same, save that his W will be an actual taunt that forces everyone in range to attack him if they are facing him while retaining it's other properties. His ult will also likely receive some buffs in that it will either provide something like converting a portion of his crit damage to true damage while he's under it's effects based on it's rank to encourage people to not take level 2 and 3 at levels 17 and 18 respectively. It will also likely buff Tryndamere's mobility by increasing the reduction to his spin's cooldown when he crits as well.
