Make Zac's Stretching Strike More Interesting

Manipulating Zac's sticky goo is one of my favorite aspects of the champion. However, Q is only a very short-ranged and unsatisfying slow. Most of the time, it won't even be enough to let me get the damage off from Unstable Matter. Half the time, even the Rift Scuttler foils me and laughs as he goes about his merry way.

Zac's Q can be made a lot more interesting by letting him dash to blobs hit with it. If a champion is hit first, no dash would occur. Zac would sort of slingshot himself forward to the blob similarly to how a worm moves.

Blobs spawn somewhat randomly and don't last very long but I still think this would be a fun change with some potential for executing daring escapes if an initiation is planned well. It gives his gameplay more depth while actually being only a tiny buff. With many of his core items nerfed and a 48% winrate in Platinum+, I don't think this change would push him over the edge in any way. He will still have the issues he always has.

My other idea was to let Q pick up Zac's blobs but some are afraid this would be too strong on lane Zac. I don't think this would be the case for reasons I outlined there but the dash to blobs idea certainly has no potential for abuse by lane Zac. He'd have to get his whole body in range to pick up the blob (all while no longer having one of his CC/damage spells available for a fight). He'd be quite vulnerable and take way more damage than he'd recover.

BTW: I don't think this would be so strong due to the need for blobs and their haphazard spawning. However, if it is, the Q CD could be increased or the numbers tweaked.

Look, I love Zac more than the average player. He is one of my favorite champions in the game, and I rage every time a skin is announced and it isnt a Zac skin.

But let's be on, this would make his laning fucking broken as hell. Like words cant even describe how strong he would be.

I don't understand why you think that. I can't imagine this making top lane Zac go from nearly nonexistent to broken. What would being able to dash to blobs (and ONLY blobs) do that is so scary? The blobs don't last that long and won't even be in the 550 range of Zac's Q most times while laning. They made them spawn in a place that lets opponents easily step on them and that's usually quite far away.

A 550 ranged, conditional dash skillshot, that costs health, only works vs unpredictably spawning and quickly disappearing blobs (if a champion is in front of the blob, it wouldn't allow the dash) without even any CC doesn't seem like a big deal to me at all. It seems like a modest buff intended to add depth and demonstrate mastery in niche scenarios.

First, it lets him pick up the blob he is aiming at. Something they are adamantly against for good reason.

Second, it lets him close the gap on someone without having to use his E. That alone makes him incredibly powerful.

The point of increasing the blob distance was to give counterplay to him in lane. What you suggest would end up punishing people for trying to step on his blobs rather than them punishing Zac.

Zac is already so freakishly stronk though I mean, I voted yes cause why not give him some loves, since they wont give him a skin. Zac

I don't agree. The blobs don't always go where you want and the problem before was that they spawned really close to Zac so he just had free sustain. This has been changed and now you see a top lane Zac once in a blue moon. With this proposal, he has to put himself in the opponent's range to do anything and is vulnerable to harass while being short a key damage spell.

It's true he could close the gap more easily but he'd also be down a spell. Almost all gap closers in the game apart from what I'm suggesting also add damage or CC. Thus, the disadvantage I'm highlighting doesn't exist for other champs.

This idea, is so dumb. It would break Zac, and it would take away his uniqueness on his e.

It's nothing like his E except that it's a movement ability.
