This Game is Way Too Bursty, It's Driving me Crazy

The bounty gold and tower plating are gimmicks that artificially prolong the game. These exist separate from the massive burst damage the game has and the lack of appropriate tools to deal with it, but the extra gold from tower plating gives winning teams a big advantage. Old Runes are gone, and with it has gone passive defensive stats I rolled into every game with. We now have an abundance of damage options through runes reforged. In addition, we have greater access to gold through tower plating and the access to kill streaks thanks to the innate bursty nature of the current system. More gold means more items, and when your target is super squishy, that puts you WAY ahead. If the game was less bursty, winning players would be less ahead than they are today at every tick in the game.

You could argue that the bursty meta is interesting, but I disagree. Watching some player 1 hit KO or 2 tap someone and kill them in under a seocnd is not interesting. Me, backing, healing up, and leaving base and rushing to go help a teammates, only to escape with 10% life and BACK AGAIN HAVING NOT GOTTEN ANY CS is NOT INTERESTING! I'm spending more time backing or looking at the respawn screen in losing games than actually trying to stage a comeback.

This could all be mitigated by getting rid of the bursty environment leading to instant death, INSTANT DEATH, in a moba. This game feels foreign to me with how stressful the teamfights and engages are. It's one thing to focus on your gameplay because you want to rank up. It's another when the very gameplay is total crap when you're dying immediately, and even if you play as perfect as you aspire to play, you could still die immediately just because.

Please, for the love of this game, lower the damage in it. This is feeling a lot like if EVERYONE played like an old-school Nidalee spear chucking 1-shotter from long ago, only pretend everyone has access to the 1-shot spear from the fog of war. That didn't feel good then, and dying immediately doesn't feel good now, especially when you're trying to spend your energy staging a comeback rather than fuming and splitting at the seams.

He's right. I'll chunk these tanky champs time and time and time again but then they are able to land 1 combo on me and i'm dead. Pure damage dealers don't have a place.
