Pantheon: Quality of Life Buff(s)???

If Panth's W was a skill shot...

Continuing from the feedback I got (link above) :

I can say that Panth deserves a very small "Quality of Life" buff in his W. My new thoughts are now that his W should have the same functionality as of now, but have a small aoe when landing/stunning. Like Jayce's Q (To The Skies), within his small Area-of-Effect upon landing, you could essentially stun more than one enemy.

"It rewards Pantheon Panth for taking smart risks, while also stunning 2+ enemies within his small W AOE."

This small buff would really only be effective if the enemy champs/minions were shoulder to shoulder, which happens more often than not. Again, it would reward Panth for bravely going into 1 v 2's in certain situations and allow Panth to be more involved in the lategame even though he is "falling off".

What do you guys think?

All the bronzes would whine about no counterplay ez freelo pantheon though.

As said, it really doesn't change anything except in the situation of a 1 v 2, where smart use will stun both enemies. And with W's long CD, I really can't think of a reason a bronze can complain.

The use would be for outplaying a gank, or for more coordinated use in team fights. Otherwise the W remains unchanged.

It would indeed be a great addition that rewards high-risk all-in play from Pantheon, but the problem is, Pantheon stomps all elos below gold and frequently is complained about. This would make the amount of threads about "gank Pantheon, he walks away with double kill, extreme snowballing super easy point and click trash champ" skyrocket.

What you're describing is a "placebo" effect and has nothing to do with the change itself. My friend once said, "As a wolf, why do you care about the thoughts of little sheep?". I felt the quote is appropriate here.

The suggested "change" is nothing more than a rare interaction (I'm going in circles) that will add depth to Panth. What I need is any additional ideas or tips so when I do finalize my thoughts in this thread, I want to bring this idea to Morello's attention. I want Panth to have meaningful interactions. Thats it.

Final thought: If the enemies are even 1/2 of a teemo apart, the W won't proc on the second enemy.

b) In the other thread I posted (above) a fellow league member made a good point that some hard cc (like Ryze's Rune Prison), is needed to shut down an otherwise too mobile champ (Zed, Riven, Kalista, etc.) and allow for windows of opportunity.

I disagree that W should be a skill shot, but I personally thought of a change like this to his W a while back, and I think it would be a great addition to his kit.

Edit: If I may make a suggestion, I believe that champions within the AOE perhaps should only be stunned for half the duration, such that Pantheon would interrupt their channels and cause a brief lapse in their movement, but not directly set them up for the full damage of Heartseeker Strike.

It's a interaction that adds depth to Pantheon. Though I should mention its VERY rare to see/do as I have stated, how often will enemies be shoulder to shoulder within Panth's small AOE? I'm thinking since it is such a rare (but cool) interaction, he should be rewarded the full duration. Panth can't plan it, but he would take advantage of this positioning situationally as stated above.

Edit: I may add your ideas as a side note. Ultimately, I want to refine the change to be a very good one so Morello will take it into consideration. I just think Pantheon is nearly perfect, and this small interaction would add satisfaction to Panth mains in the rare situations it occurs
