Black cleaver for mages?

I feel like a lot of mages are struggling somewhat. Most DoT mages have high win rates but are almost never picked in higher brackets. My item idea is a black cleaver for mages like . I also realized that haunting guise is a really good item but the only build path is which is lackluster on a lot of champs.

BUILD PATH + +800 gold = Soul eater.

STATS 400 health 50 ap 10% cdr

UNIQUE passive: eyes of pain: +15 magic pen UNIQUE passive: soul siphon: Every instance of magic damage that you deal reduces the targets magic resist by 5% stacking up to 5 times.

If the numbers are to high/to low they can be tweaked.

item 3001 is supposed to be the AP item 3071 , which is why it is being reworked to be better for AP bruisers. The rework has been delayed though, because they are afraid that if they move it away from its usefulness to AP assassins there will be a hole in itemization. So basically, once they figure out an MR item for burst mages, AP bruisers will get an updated item 3001 that better suits their needs.

Just buy item 3091 . It's pretty much the same item except that it doesn't give HP or AP or CDR and that it reduces MR by auto attacking and then only by a flat amount. ;D
