How to proc eve's charm reliably and safely?

Is there something im missing becuase you either havve to get in close and reveal yourself to get it or try to be just right to hit them with q and not be seen, but even then, it can easily just get fucked by them hiding in minions, so how the hell are you supposed to play eve then?

Your E, which does reveal you but that's part of the counterplay that you can partially mitigate with something like Protobelt. Conversely you can use the charm for mind games and instead go for a different target entirely.

but whenever I get in sight range of someone like ashe or blitz, they can just CC me to hell, so am I just not able to touch them?

Go for the flanks, have a team, make picks during team fights, those sort of things. You need to work with the tools that you have to get the job done, you can't just walk up to someone and pop them like the old days. To quote Rome Total War: "Only seek battle when you are sure to win."

You need charm + R to assassinate until you have runic + lichbane, at which point you only need charm.

You have to get fed to not need charm to duel squishies, and at all stages of the game you need it for tanks.

There are a number of neat tricks you can use. First, the most obvious answer is to come up behind whoever you're going on so that they have no choice to jump (if they have a dash) into you, at which point you EQQQQR. The other interesting interaction though, is that if you're in a bush, even if that bush is warded, so long as there isn't a control ward in the bush enemy champions will not see you unless they facecheck the bush.

Your first Q flies just out of your detection ring, so as someone else said- sneak up behind someone, charm, and keep stealth until the charm is a half second ready (over extended top laner will usually just run into your q). You can also just bum rush someone with charm+blue smite+E (like a Fizz who just used his E to wave clear)... Theres just so many options and mindgames with her. Try to be unpredictable
