Yes, but it's still the most expensive item of them all in the game while only giving one stat (ap) and having the worst build path.

I can literary get one upgraded support item and one un-upgraded for the upgraded rabadons price. While at the same time the support items are more useful than rabadons and easier to build.

those are just the item +1000 (or 500 for the sup items)

I'm interested to see what 1000 extra gold in pure AP looks like, especially since a Riot game designer noted on Twitter that Rabadon's is the most gold efficient upgrade out of all of them.

Damn replace sunfire with thronmail and/or randuins. I always get deadmans or randuins over that.
