Red Trinket <<<<< Mass Ward. Intentional?

No matter how many wards you sweep, the enemy's always going to just plant another one right where you swept a few seconds later. Or they'll have too many that are spread out, and you simply cannot clear them all, making that Baron bait impossible.

"Tell your team to get mass red trinkets!"

Complete suicide. Yellow trinkets are kind of a requirement, otherwise you'll always be marching in blind.

"Use Oracle's Lens!"

Still not effective enough. Like I said, wards are INFINITE. Oracles can be baited, and you generally only get it for anti-stealth. If you do, you can't use it to sweep for wards. How will you detect that Vayne if you do?

What I'd really like to know is if this whole "mass ward beats red trinket" mentality was intended from the start. Pro players might use it well, but how do the rest of us handle an area with 8-10 wards in it?

Red trinkets are more often used to clear objectives minutes before it is time to take the objective or clear a gank path.

Red Trinkets are balanced for Competitive/team play. Wards will always be favoured for solo queue over red trinket because it has less team interaction and is much more predictable (making warding key areas give you alot more information than it should). Also everyone thinks about themselves more and would rather save the ward for emergencies like if an enemy runs into a bush, you can ward it and prevent them from juking, turning on you, etc.

Case - you said that sweeping is pointless because it will get warded immediately after.

and Point - In team games, you can clear a ward and set up a pick. If the enemy has a solo queue mentality and goes to ward it alone, its a free kill = free pressure/objective etc.

You misunderstand. I know you can use it to set traps. But if your opponent has multiple wards around Baron, they're still gonna see you or know you have/haven't moved because it's impossible to clear several positions at once.

But I'm probably just f#cking myself over by trying to argue the point...

No your points make sense and are valid

the thing is, it is on purpose that this is allowed because then it would be really hard to counter the team clearing all your vision (and in turn, they will control that area and make it hard for you to contest whatever they are controlling).

That is why there is some lee way to allow both counter play, as well as to allow room for error so each team can have a fair chance at killing / predicting the enemies move and then punishing them.

the smarter team will always have the advantage, but even then, the team that has a gold lead is also allowed to make mistakes because they can also just brute force for their control.

All these different aspects is what makes league have depth, and in turn, make wins satisfying, and makes watching the game so much fun.
