I love how his ult double dips on true damage dealing its base damage + ap ratio as true damage but also the damage from his passive as true damage as well

the thing is none of them have ridiculous range. also. quite a bunch of these can't 100-0 you at level 6 with literally like 20 ap. urgot morgana mf lux and urgot can't.. but muh true vel kozzy damage.

His ult is kinda bull but he's not that hard to deal with. Sure he can kill you easily, but you can kill him easily too.

He has no mobility, poor survivability and can't do shit to defend his ADC. Engage him, have your jungler gank, don't be afraid to outtrade his ass and if you have the champion for it, all-in him and make quick work of him.

Just need to adjust to the champions you are fighting against. You won't always be fighting a passive lane like Janna or Soraka who poses very little threat early game. Bot lane is especially difficult when it come to adjusting, there is a lot more variation in what you will face since there are 2 champions on both sides.

funny, since the mage update reduced his bases in favor of ratios. Pushing him towards the mage role he was intended for, (as he initially got relegated to the support role due to lack of ratios)
Those items don't make a good support build. a) it's lacking sight stone, so your not filling an important task for the support. b) you should be able to get enough gold on a support to get RoA in a timely manner, and without CDR, your won't have your CC as often. Even thou those items don't have a ton of AP to start, that person is not going to have a support build later on.
A Glass Cannon, is a glass cannon, is a glass cannon. Practically anyone can 100-0 the ADC. The only possible exception to that would be utility only supports, yet Vel'kos is a mage, he's going to be damage oriented, regardless of how much AP he has.
If he had those too items, I can only assume this was early in the game, that basically when supports have the advantage. Before the ADC has gotten to stack their major DPS items.
