A lot of people laugh when I lock in as a support. Of course people will judge before seeing the effectiveness of him in lane. He has a free manaless slow that he can spam more then can do his. His Battle Roar, linked with effectively DOUBLES his MR and Armour AND a powerful HEAL and his ultimate is the PERFECT engage in a teamfight. The enemy team will ALWAYS think you are building him squishy and will ALWAYS focus you pretty much, keeping the rest of your team pretty safe. I have tried this a lot and I'm really a fan of Rengar support. Also one of the best things is that it DENYS the enemy team from picking him as a jungler.

I know he has some problems but I really feel that he has been pretty successful when I have played him in soloQ.

I go with the same runes and masteries I do for Yorick so 9/21/0, and Atk Dmg Quits with standard armor runes and scaling MR with Atk Dmg reds. I gives that little boost on procing Relic Shield. You wanna stay as safe as you can till level 3 and spam bola strike as much as you can to slow the enemy ADC but stay SAFE in bushes until you have either item 3065 or item 3143 . Max Bola Strike and Battle Cry BEFORE your Q and use your stealth as a reliable escape and engage.
