at what elo in ranked does skill seem to improve.

this is the first season i played ranked. i played about 1.5k norm matches at least before starting ranked. was placed in B3 and now am gold 5. here is my problem. skill disparity. at what point does it seem like skill across all players is the same. game knowledge and basics knowledge. not mechanical skill but familiarity and understanding of what to do in the game. i could go on listing things that a bronze shouldn't even do that happen here in gold but i don't get it. I mean does it happen in diamond+ elo where your laner goes 1/12 in lane or a fed shaco doing 9k damage (less than a blitzcrank). or a lux pushing for inhib turret because we destroyed her turret early and shes pushing her lane 12 minutes into the game and dies at the inhib turret as if nobody can collapose on her. how do you get out of bronze with sub 42% winrate (i've had that). I mean i had a guy that says he mains bard and his winrate with bard was 40%. and its his most played champion and it seems like he had no idea how to play bard.

i mean how do you hard counter someone in lane and still lose the solo matchup

back to my point is this because of DQ or was it always like this. if so then Riot has to understand that dynamic Q isn't just about premades vs solos. its about skill disparity between boosted players and someone who earned their badge.

i mean last game our mid laner got ganked 3-4 times in a row and died every single time. like i expect from someone that been playing the game for 2-3 months to farm under the turret but no i will shove and get ganked over and over again. 50% death participation from one player.

i had a vayne the other day for a solid 15-20 minutes she has 100% death participation.

Because of DQ, there are countless boosted animals now.

"Lux Don't push your lane its only 12 minutes into the game and their jungler is fed and hes an assassin. you can't push all the way to the inhib turret and expect not to get ganked. your lux your a free lunch no mobility. "

"stop being toxic i will feed now you stop blaming me"

there goes me trying to teach people. i never say anything bad before giving someone advice at some point i do get a little mad i dont go to banworthy toxicity but i have my moments. though recently i just mute everyone and go with the flow.

eh dont listen to them some people give good advice but some people just dont know what they are talking about and think they belong in the lcs..... and lanes depend on how the games going ur enemy mid roams .. u either roam with him or push hard also frequently ward and buy pinks

tho yeah just keep trying it happens to everyone u get those type of people who think they know everythign Like me..... i dont know jack sht so dont listen to me either ;3

It happens in all elos... simply put. Even those high ranked youtubers and streamers have horrible game sometimes

there is a difference between having a bad game. and having 60 cs in a lane your winning (losing after becasue farm is more important than gold). at 30 minutes

Based on my experience up go G1, it doesn't by then.

Skill disparity. That is the state of the season allllll wrapped up in two words. I just don't get how people aren't as good at me at their roles as I am at jungle in high gold. It's super tilting. SO many people first timing a champ and they are always vs a one trick. How do you think that goes?

Had 95% winrate and it went down when i reached ~d4 i think everyone above diamond 5 75 lp is pretty good at knowledge / mechanical skill / decisionmaking also way harder to keep a high winrate in d4+ even though youre smurfing

there are feeders even in masters and in the LCS.

You have to be Faker to have good games.

" It never gets better" some say.

Although IMO by gold everyone has OK individual laning and mechanics learned, and build and rune their champions in a solid direction at least for their role. In gold team group play is wacky as heck aram or instead cross map split push strategy is mostly just checking if anyones there while they mindlessly push.

In platinum teamplay greatly improves or greatly suffers. This is a notorious growing pain elo (it's known to be toxic and full of deva's who think they're almost rly good as they wanna hit diamond and then quit it) By high plat some people really can think ahead a bit better regarding their wave manipulation. In low plat not so much. (IMO) The difference affects whether it's possible for their champion to pressure/ or survive their lane or not.

As you climb through diamond everything gets put to the test and singular mistakes put the game into states that snowball oughta control. The meta is heavily abused or specialty picks are played to cutting edge levels. Even the very best players will have to grind a little more as 1v5 is far from easy.

I want to say skill in gold has become more consistent but even in a short period of games I have seen some weird things like you mentioned. Played vs a leona jungle the other day. Really not sure wtf that was all about. I almost wonder if the player didn't realize they were jungle until last second or what. Either way it worked out for my team but was really odd.

People definitely have bad games though. Like if you look at my stats I currently have a 65% win rate as lux on this account. It was over 70% most of the season but that was back before the mid season update. I swapped with one of my allies so he and his buddy could duo bot and apparently it had been awhile since I played mid. I gave up first blood before the 2 min mark (got snared by zyra, then snared by morg, then condemned by vayne :(( from in invade). Then I proceeded to start lane going 0-4. Ended game 5-9-some assists 240 cs. Thought we could win but ended up losing. I felt bad because I am usually pretty confident in playing lux mid but I really felt rusty. I am sure my team figured I was a boosted animal but its whatever it was just one game.
