The internet allows you to basically not look like an idiot took me all of 5 seconds to type "patch 6.1" click enter and wait:

"On January 14th at 3:00 am PT for NA, 5:00 GMT time for EUW, and 2:00 GMT for EUNE, servers will go down for maintenance and the 6.1 patch will be applied.

Here's NA| version of the Network Operations maintenance announcement: "On 14/01/2016, starting at 01:30 PST, ranked queues will be disabled in preparation for patch 6.1. At 03:00 GMT, the servers will be shut down and all games currently in progress will end in a draw and stats will not be recorded. We estimate the battlegrounds will be unavailable for 6 hours."

It is always been the 14th to my knowledge they said so on Twitter last week and they set The patch date on Tuesday -whenever there's a patch we can always check surrender 20 on Tuesday to find out when the patch is coming out
