They are typically worth little gold, it takes too long to kill them, and chasing usually takes you some place you don't want to be. They are leading you to a carry and you are alone. Couldn't you make better use of your time.
I guess you would say a kills a kill. I guess it depends on whether or not you are trying to kill or win the game.

Sir Yamazuki1 votesBecause you will do much better killing the tank and then pushing as opposed to letting the tank recall and attempting to fight him at his tower while you push. Regardless of what you do, you will have to fight that tank and fighting him at his tower will mean he can deal more damage and have a far better chance of preventing your team from winning.
By the time it takes for them to recall and leave base you could have in majority of situations taken a tower. Most tanks can't solo defend towers either.
