Petition to Remove "Remake" from Game

Here are the problems with Remake:

1: Time: With 2 - 3 minute queues (x2), 4 - 5 minute pre-game lobbies (x2), 1 - 2 minute loading screens (x2), and 3 minutes until Remake is available- it takes too long to begin playing a real match.

2: Patience: Remake doesn't give the player a chance to reconnect to the game, forcing a Leaver Buster on a player.

3: Sensibility: When players connect to a game after disconnecting, they are given priority status with experience. A player can catch up fairly quickly because of this.

Personally, I play this game to have some fun. And it's really not much fun to have to wait so long to play a game. I understand the frustration of being a player down, I do. But this mechanic just takes away from actually playing the game.

What are your thoughts?

3 is no longer true. IIRC, "catch-up" experience was removed from the game.

I personally think remake is a good thing - they're incredibly rare in my experience, and if one team is going to be down a player, I'd rather end that game fast and get into a real game ASAP.

I rather waste 15 minutes and be able to remake than waste 30-35 minutes because i have to wait and surrender to lose LP. Seems more convenient to me.

How about no

It’s to protect against lost LP. It’s only a loss prevented when Riot’s bandwidth is laggy and they acknowledge that. AFKs didn’t give loss prevented.

The point of remake is so you’re not playing a 4v5 and starting at a disadvantage. The idea is that the game is completely equal, 5v5 from the first second to the last. Even if catch up exp is a thing, that’s not put in the game for afkers. It’s there for people that die or fall behind in exp for in game reasons.

Remake is fine as it is. Happens very rarely but has saved millions of LP across the game.

I think remake should only be available in ranked tbh

How is the third point bad? Or do you think it would be fair if the team with the player who had a disconnect should basically 100% lose because he can't catch up in exp...?

No remake:

  1. Time: With 2 - 3 minute queues (x2), 4 - 5 minute pre-game lobbies (x2), 1 - 2 minute loading screens (x2, and....15+ minutes until surrender option is available. - it takes too long to begin playing a real match.

  2. Patience: People don't have to be hostage on a game they don't want to play, leaving them on a limbo of either rage quitting or sucking until the enemy team wins. Forcing a Leaver Buster on 4 players or a bad experience on 4 players.

  3. Sensibility: A player that start with the rest of the other players doesn't need to catch up, he is already leveled with the rest of them. Who really likes to play with a handicap?

I also play the game to have fun and 3 people raging and being toxic and other 5 just bming is not my definition of "fun", I',m not into masochist, at least if I'm waiting I can do other things on my pc while I wait, like play a clicker or read something, but with a 4v5 game I'm just hostage.

I will tell you about one game i played yesterday. The enemy jungler got a bug splat and connected to the game around 5 min. By then i took all of his jg killed him 2 times in his jungle and made him useless for the entire game. If the enemy just did a remake they would avoid a loss but they stayed. Remake is a good feature beacuse you can take an advantage over the enemy so easy that you can set back someone so far that he is a non factor.

Why are there so many League players that treat EVERY game like it's life or death? -_-

Remake was one of the best things added to the game in years! I noticed a massive drop in handicapped games right away! As someone who used to end up in a lot of games with farm accounts (when I was first climbing to 30) I found getting stuck in a 4v5 with players who want to abuse the advantage WAY more frustrating then the notion of starting over and only losing a few minutes.

In other words; I completely disagree with TC.
