You're right. AD casters are also hit but it's far worse for mages and AP supports. When they run out of mana, they can't rely on auto's like an AD caster. They are royally fucked if they run out of mana in an intense situation.

AD mana casters will go out of mana as fast as mages and AP supports, if not faster, and when they back they get sad because they can't do anything about it.
Sairentosutoka2 votesok sure if you run up to an OOM AD caster he can do damage to you but you realise you dont have to run up to them you can actualy AA to farm and when an OOM AD caster tries to you punish him thats why you see most AD casters use their abilities to farm.

Except AD has crit and Armor pen, and attack speed....none of which need mana to use with just auto attacking.
AP champs are gated by mana and needing to use abilities a lot. compare that to an ADC that can be oom and just follow and auto attack you oom compared to a mage trying to do anything at all oom and....well...the Mana item nerfs start looking derpy.
Compensate4 votesIt's called resource management, learn to trade and farm using mana efficiently. As far as Zhonya's goes... that's one of the most powerful items in the game.
I think the game's in a pretty good spot at the moment. The only champs I perma-ban are Fizz and Zed. Two of the safest champs in the game as well as high amounts of damage is a little over powered imo and annoying to go against at the very least. I'm certain the Zed ultimate shadow change a while back was ultimately a buff. (Safe getaway)
But yes, as a top main I'm pretty happy with how the game state is. I'll continue to play this game no matter what changes they make, I'll just adapt.
Done253 votesDFG has been cancer for as long as it has been in the game. RoA is RIDICULOUSLY gold efficient, even without the heal on level up passive. And it's easy to build. Zhonya has one of the highest AP values in game, with an easy build path, and an extremely powerful defensive active. What's the downside?

because seeker's armgaurd was made to be an early ap/armor item for midlaners against ad casters mid and zhonya is the only ap armor item in the shop other than iceborn gaunlet (on summoner's rift)

Drunk Rummate2 votesNot happy at all really. The only mages that were seriously annoying as an ADC main are burst mages like Syndra and Leblanc and they didn't build any mana regen to begin with. The really sad thing is that they've made Morello so cost efficient that now they can build mana regen and still burst you, so they're even stronger than they were before.
And in the meantime Mages that weren't even oppressive like Orianna are almost entirely useless now.

As far as other AP items go, RoA and Rylai's are good on AP bruisers. If those items get nerfed, it's going to hit AP bruisers, not mages and AP supports.
Not to mention that DFG is completely bullshit on certain champs, and Zhonya's isn't too far off.
