Is Lissandra worth maining?

Or is she just a really situational pick?

no shes fantastic, shes very underated, she has CC, slow, self heal+damage/zone + point and click lock down.

she is a great champ to main, honestly ANY champion is good to main as long as you enjoy them and are getting results :)

She's a great addition to your champion pool, however to main her means you need understand a few things.

She's not fantastic like people have been touting in this thread, she's niche. I love Liss, she's amazing in my eyes, but it's just that, in my eyes. I'm not going to delude other people into thinking she's better than she is. She has a majority of bad match ups, few even ones and even fewer favourable ones. She's also a relatively popular pick in the LCS if she's ever strong. So she's pretty much is always going to be on Riot's radar whenever she's doing mildly well for herself. SoloQ is not her strong suit, lack of team coordination means that you need to on point when you want to make a play because your team isn't always going to be on the same page and follow up.

Now with all that said, if you really enjoy her and want to put time into learning her go right ahead. When you get the hang of her kit you can do amazing things and hard carry games like a pro. One-shot squishies with literally no counterplay, like people talk about Syndra's R. At least she allows you to act while she's R'ing, unless you got stunned ofc but even that's a skillshot, Liss dumpsters people while making them helpless to even retaliate. And I love it, and I'm pretty sure you might too.

I would be careful with Lissandra, she's a DPS mage and she brings a lot to the team but she has low range making her a bit unsafe and against anyone who can out DPS her, such as Ryze, you'll have some problems. It's kind of hard to hard carry a team with Lissandra because of how good she is in a cooridinated team as well, so just keep in mind that with her you'll have to play more around your teamates than champions that have that Solo Que, Solo Carry aspect.

Yes

I did my promo games with her and I'm in Silver 2 she's so underrated

However do be mindful of your lane opponents your best matchup is a Fizz and your worst would be a Xerath Vel'Koz etc

Every champion is worth to main if you like that champion.

Some champion are more "situational" than others, but (almost) every champion can work at any time if you're willing to learn to play them at any given time.

She's worth it if you learn her, I consider her nice.

But.. The downside to her when it comes to me is that her Kit just feels so clunky, Idk..

She has a nice Kit but it just feels so damn clunky to me. You should give her a try though, she's still a good champion non the less.

Dont think so. I think she suffers from lcs syndrome like Azir Gnar Kalista Karma Ryze RekSai Rengar TaliyahLeblanc : As soon as she becomes decent she is pick/ban in lcs until nerfed a few patches later

Liss is one of my favorites to play, but currently not so much in the mid lane. The general champion matchups aren't that hot for her right now. BUT her roam is ridiculously strong! 9/10 times I find myself running her in the top lane more than the mid lane, though. Usually only take her mid if im vs an assassin or im running norms and dont mind the uphill climb early on.

The trick to her is a lot of play time. There are a lot of situational tricks and mindgames to set up with her that take some getting used to reading at a moments notice. The second tip is to not buy ROA and opt for protobelt first buy instead. Gives her the extra bit of burst she lacks to keep up with the other mages and I use it in lieu of flash (or in combo) to catch people off guard more often than I should.

I think so. Not because she's op, but because she is legit fun to play, at least in my opinion XD. Fun factor is maybe the most important factor when picking a main I think.

Lissandra top 5 counters are: Kassadin Anivia Brand Velkoz Syndra

4 counter her because of their greater range, and the other because of his passive and higher mobility plus burst. Brand might be mana hungry early but any good brand with stay to one side of the minion wave to aa it to force you to choose to either try to harass him or Q the minion wave while conserving his mana to harass you. Lissandra's Q is very easy to dodge for any champion that out ranges her. For you to harass a brand you will usually have to use a Q on one minion and hit a mispositioned brand who got too close. Also Fed Zed Bot, Xozi is bronze 3, how many brands there are going to play him correctly. There is a reason why brand counters lissandra but you have to play him right.

Players in platinum are far better at playing brand than in silver or bronze, they position much better and make it extremely hard to harass them while being able to farm without spamming their abilities. When you get to the higher ranks the games become less of outplaying an enemy and more about picking a counter or getting help from your team because the skill level becomes more similar and that is why brand is a counter, because when the skill level is the same, brand's kit will beat lissandra's kit.................................

I have over 400,000 mastery points on Lissandra and used her to get to gold, then to platinum for the first time. Saying that, I am not maining her this season because the meta currently is against Lissandra.

She needs time to get strong because even her single target burst is weak compared to other mages.

She is on the short side of medium range with her Q so she can't bully most of the regular picks other than Kassadin and he counters her hard with burst and passive.

She is best against assassins, the number one is fizz, and currently assassins are weak because their immediate burst is less than some mages.

Lissandra is also weaker because her build path is of gradual AP increase. Most meta mids get a strong damage spike with Luden's, Deathcap, and/or void staff early while Lissandra has to get Zhonya's and Banshee's after RoA so she can get into a fight and survive if you use her ult to lock down a carry.

Finally the change to abyssal weakened her as well because she loved the 10% increase to magic damage it gave.

DoktorKaiser5/23/2017, 8:15:28 PM2 votes

I used to play her (read abuse) a lot when she was op, so recently she was free to play so I decided to try her again and see if she is any good. I solo carried that game, I destroyed enemy Riven who rage quit and got S+ . She is absolutely fantastic exactly where most other champs suck - she counters high mobility assassins and bruisers HARD, she is definitely worth maining and lately she is a niche pick so people forgot how to play against her.

ƒrostγ5/30/2017, 6:32:24 AM2 votes

Of course she is worth maining. I have over 450k mastery points on her, and nearly always ~60% winrate.
She is not in the best spot right now though, so forget the usual RoA + Hourglass build, and try to capitalize on her midgame powerspike instead. Build protobelt and sorc boots first, and you'll be surprised how much damage she does this way.

CasterGilgamesh5/23/2017, 9:06:26 PM2 votes

"maining" to me means to be will to play even when they arent that good.I say lissandra is great to play but "maining" in the way i see it is more of a personal thing.Yes play her she is great against people like zed and yasuo if you play her right. her biggest weakness is she has the shortest base spell range of any mage outside of her E which is very slow you core item on her is item 3027 liss plays like a battle mage/control mage hybrid she needs to be in the middle of the fight cuz of her spell range so she needs the health from rod build her glass only if you think you can survive the team fight

the weeaboo5/24/2017, 1:51:37 AM2 votes

you should main a champ because you think they are fun and like their playstyle. If you have to ask "should I main this champ" the answer is always "no"

Change your name to 'IcebornQueen' and it's a deal. Unless there's something I don't know about.... :P
