KDA doesn't determine your 'real power'. Gold and level does.

4/0 means jackshit if you don't have the gold. Look, I may be the 0/2 Master Yi adc with a botrk and a zeal, but that 4/0 jinx with only an Berserker's greaves and runnan's isn't a threat to me because she didn't recall yet.

Same thing for lategame. You, the 100/0 lux, isn't gonna be able to fight be the 0/100 yi if I have full build and so do you. It's about the gold, not the KDA.

League is like winding clocks. Getting a lead is giving you more 'time' on your clock, but powerspikes are like hours. Until you've passed the 'Hour', even if you're at 2h50 and the other person is at 2h30, you are about at equal grounds until you're at 3h.

It should be 'items and level' not 'gold and level', as 'items' encompasses the whole point of your gold being useless till you use it.

If you wanna get super specific, 'stats, kit, and cooldowns' works too.

items and levels

Not gold and levels. FTFY.

Gold isn't even as important as levels are until mid/late game

Early game levels are everything

Your arguments are contradictory, it's not about the gold it's about the gold spent, item's and level powerpikes.

I dunno, this confuses me. I played Karma mid, and for the most part I never left lane besides recalling, whilst the majority of my team did mostly split pushing and roaming.

We won the game, and I was the only one on the team at level 18, and had the most gold (And as a result items) out of sheer CS and EXP lead due to never needing to leave lane. I don't feel like I truly did much to help my team win the game, but I did have the best stats on my team due to the methods. I just don't think Stats determine your power, but just rather what you do with them.

once people get to full build it starts to fall on runes and masteries, like did I go scaling or flat etc

Well looking just one thing is always bad.

Generalizing you need gold/level and not KDA is it as well. You can easily have the most gold on your TEam, but that wont mean anything if you have 5% Kill-Participation. ^^

It kind of depends on the champ. I find I can best impact the game by roaming when I can with Sion. As a tank he is not too dependent on gold and lvls like carries are so I can spend some time tp'ing for a team fight, ganking mid, or ulting down the river to a dragon fight instead on farming top. Because of this I'll often get a B at the end of the game despite the fact that I may have won it by setting up kills for my carries.

They're more intertwined than you think.

The amount of XP kills give is frankly retarded and one of the biggest reasons for the current spate of snowballing.

That's a great description of power spikes!

Yi being able to kill a Jinx or Lux has a lot less to do with how 'fed' he is than it does with his kit and what champions he's naturally good against.
